Sorry about that, bad habit! :-)

that is a tough choice! if i had to pick one, i'd probably go with revive because i like the "society working together" message of that game, and the interplay between palyers is more direct with the "i can use your cards, and that helps you" stuff. but woodcraft is a crunchier game and is also a bit less cutthroat (the racing to get the best stuff aspect of revive can get a bit intense) so it appeals for that reason. they're both great. you might want to go based on which theme attracts you more, tbh :)

i'll add that my wife liked woodcraft more than revive, but she loved revive as well! but woodcraft might be her game of the year quite frankly (but she REALLY loves woodworking in real life, so she's very partial to the theme)

@@rahdo what was appealing about the Woodcraft gameplay to her? I also really like the theme but hard to understand how enjoyable the game would be for us. So I’d love to hear what appealed so much to Jen!

a bit part of it for her is the theme... her father is a woodworker, and so is she and some of her fondest memories are from working in a wood shop. plus she's always extra enchanted when a game physically moves and doesn't just sit there static on the table. she calls this the 'gadget factor' and wc has a decent gadget in the rotating buzzsaw that also has peekaboo windows for the bonuses, which just charmed here. and then on top of that, the gameplay is top notch. but i think it's those incidentals that really pushed it over the top for her :)

@@Listan1 it's worth mentioning that in Woodcraft every single card has a different art. Art re-use makes a game less appealing to me, that's why I decided to pass on Revive

on any giventurn you only get one core action but you can also activate all your employees, run all your equipment and complete mulitple jobs. plus if you save up lanterns, you can take bonus turns as well. so you get to do a LOT in this game :)
