Wooden outdoor Basketball court 1 year later.

2 жыл бұрын1 year ago I built an outdoor wooden basketball court. This is the condition of it after 1 year. The wood on the basketball court is still in great condition. I did plane a couple of the boards and restained them around 6 months ago.

May I add school have used some schools use concrete because it’s more durable and it will last longer to mantail all you have to do is change the hoop net every ten years and maybe a littlere painting so good luck

Do you think you could play small ball sports on it? Hockey, pickle ball , tennis? Just curious if it has stayed level? Looking at doing this on a big bigger scale. Thank you!

yes you can, BUT the space between planks would make that hard

What type of floor birds did you use I heard wood decking could be slippery I was thinking about using marine plywood, what do you think and what about the cost for the boards

I used Ground contact 2x6s mine were 18’ long $25 each in 2021. It is not slippery at all

So far at 3 years there isnt any splintering. After the first 6 months a couple of the boards swelled, but we planed them and havent had any problems since
