I saw this request floating around in the comments and thought It'd be an interesting one to figure out. I probably could have done a better job with the verses (I screwed up the first half of the second verse so there's a bit of a cover up there!) and I probably could have played it a little cleaner but It's too late now!

I can have a good guess at what key a song is in but I can't just hear a note and know exactly what it is! I wish I could do that though, it would make figuring out these songs a hell of a lot easier!

You know, I think pretty much all of your covers are better than the originals. I'm in the process of downloading the audio from the videos via online converters, But I would love to have downloads of the guitar parts by themselves though. Oh, and subscribed by the way. Keep it up, you're awesome.

See the original video description for the midi. It's not what I used, I figured it out by ear, but there are some programs (like GuitarPro) that can convert midi to guitar tab :)

My first guitar was a Westone XS10, it costs about 100€ and is pretty good, enough for a beginner. Now I play a Ibanez RGA32 for 350€, I don't think there is another guitar this good for the price. A good amp for playing at home would be the Peavey Vypyr 15 also for about 100€, but the 15W version won't be loud enough if you want to play in a band, you get a great bunch of different sounds and effects and you can save up to 12 presets, I play the 75W version but it is of course more expensive.

For simply playing (Guitar > Pedal > Speakers) no; the computer doesn't even need to be on as it has it's own power. When recording there is a little bit and audio sometimes has to be shifted slightly so it's fully in time. I'm toying with the idea of getting the AKAI Pro instead which has much better drivers and essentially 0 latency, apparently.

Yeah. There's no amp involved, the AKAI is essentially a sound card and all output is routed through that.

Everything I use is at the bottom of the description. For guitar or bass I have a BOSS ME-70 effects pedal plugged into an AKAI EIE audio interface and then I record it all in Ableton Live :)

The thing about you is that you dont remove the original audio and you put a cover OVER it. Mixing the sounds sounds better than just a guitar and lyrics.

Already working on it :) Unfortunately, If you want a "decent" guitar you're going to have to spend a fair bit. Fender Squires generally aren't very good either. You're going to be looking at about £400 minimum for a good guitar that will play well and will last. Ibanez do some alright cheap guitars.

this was freaking awesome; it definitely helps this is like my favorite song by Glaze :D im currently working on a cover-ish thing of Rainbow Factory, just a bit altered. only, itll sound like crap because all i have to work with is Audacity. but it should be fun either way. but keep doing these, its too awesome for you not to do more

hmmm im going to try to do rainbow factory just for the hell of it.. mostly just rythm but still would sound nice with decent distortion and metal effects :D let me know if you want to do it too! would like to see how we both can interpret it
