This vlog is of our recent weekend away top Woodhall Spa and we stopped at the Woodhall Spa Country Park. Woodhall Spa Country Park is clean well looked after site offering a range of Camping with the camping pitches being a mix of Hard Standing & Grass with quite a few service pitches available
Tent
Caravan / Motorhome
Seasonal Pitches
Camping Pod
Cabins
Luxury Cabins.
The site is within walking distance of the popular Market Town with a good range of shops Café’s Pubs & Restaurants.
There is quite a bit of WWII history to be found in the are with many servicemen being stationed locally before the D Day Landings, The “Flicks in the Sticks” as well as the links with the Petwood Hotel and the Dambusters. The Petwood hotel being a short walking distance from the site,

Hi Dave & Helen thanks for watching, It is a great area and not to far from us. The site is nice but a little expensive. Being Ex RAF, we are planning on doing a few trips where we can view the aircraft. I have watched yours with interest. Thanks for watching and Happy Camping. James

Good video as always good trip round site and Woodhall Spa. I loved the drone footage I keep looking at them to buy what type have you got please. I keep putting off regarding all the CAA requirements that you need and restrictions on where you can fly them. Are you off to France this year we’re going this coming Friday to the Dordogne region can’t wait now. Looking at your drone footage I wished I had now got one.

Hello, thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it. A lot of the restrictions are based on the type of Drone you have. I have a Sub 259g drone, the DJI Mini 2. Both the DJI Mini 2 and the new Mini 3 are great drones and way less than 249g. This means that the restrictions are a lot less and come down a lot to common sense. Although not required for these drones, I have taken the CAA Operators and Flyers Licences, Quite easy to do online and Multiple Choice. About £10 a year I think. I do know that the CMHC don't allow flying of Drones from there sites, but as far as the rules go they can's stop you flying them over the site. However I don't fly over CMHC sites out of respect. The Software that comes with the DJI will not allow you to fly in restricted Airspace. I also use an App called Drone Assist which gives you some great helpful information and guidance about flying where you are

Yes we are off to France this year, we are heading off in 4 weeks from tomorrow, We cant wait. We are heading down to the south with a few stops on the way down and on the way back as well. Hiya. Sorry we were hoping to get out in the van a bit more than we have and do a real world test, We did get away a few weeks ago to Woodhall Spa and it seemed to work really well didn't get chance to vlog it. We are off to France in 3 weeks time and hope to do a more comprehensive review then. Keep watching & Happy Camping James

How do you attach your flags to the pole?

Hi Colin, I have made a couple of loops using Para Cord / Guy Rope about 6" long, attach them to the Flags and then Cable tie them to the flag pole, it works well, but need to take a supply of Cable Tie's and snips with us. Thanks for watching and Happy Camping. James
