Great vid! Lots of details that may go overlooked while getting set up. It's amazing how long it actually takes to get tools set up true and square. I probably would have had a tantrum after cutting wonkey boards and not knowing why lol

It doesn't need to be perfect just needs to produce perfect... haha I'm pretty happy with most of the boards that are coming off now, some still aren't great but that could be any number of reasons including stress In the tree leading to the cant bending as I'm cutting

Watching other videos on this exact mill (I have one coming), the blade leveling front to back does have adjustment points on the back of the mill head.

Do you mean on the frame or on the bandwheel? Bandwheel doesn't have any forward or backward tilt option due to the design of the tensioner system. The head has a slight bit from the bolts and post guides but not an actual purposeful or useful amount from my experience

Maybe my mill was build more off true then others but I couldn't get the head sleeves to move enough to help

65 lbs magnetic hook to hold the dust bucket works well

Just saw your video, my 126 has an adjustment for tilting the blade as you describe, so I’m sure your does too. I put a line level on the blade and you just loosen a couple bolts and swivel the blade cage.

Your talking about the 4 long bolts through the head to the post slider? There is a slight bit there but not nearly enough (at least for me). And the plastic sliders have some as well, but again when it was new there's not much room available for adjustment there either. It would be nice if both bandwheels had forward and back adjustment to get precise level on both sides.

As long as you keep your mill on concrete blocks you are going to have leveling problems. My HM 126 is 7 years old and I don't have any of the rail problems you described but then to I have mine set up on a solid bed

Yeah for sure not ideal. But do watcha gotta do with the budget you have. Depending on what portion of the rail issues iv gotten used to periodically leveing from front to back and side to side. Just part of maintenance. On the wave portion where there's dips in between the feet I'm sure it's there on just about every woodland mill that's been used. I figured out to buy an extra set of feet and now have feet in all the unused large holes. This has greatly reduced that and added to the strength and stability. As well as adding several more bunks in all the open spots for bunks. Thanks for watching
