Headed out to enjoy the storm, however one of my camera's didn't fair to well and has decided to bite the dust. The Lumix G7 is dead. Long live the Lumix G7 :(
Hope you enjoy watching this video it sure was fun making it and being able to enjoy the stormy weather, See you all in the next video.

I went for a walk, in a rainy wet wood. Passed some trees, as you should. I spied a bloke, sat in a Tepee, drinking beer and talking to himself. I thought, that poor bloke, must be off his shelf. I carried on walking until the end, then I realized, it was Sandy, my KZfaq friend 📹. I love the sound of rain on a tent or canvus.

I had such a gas burner. They do make a lot of racket, but indeed, in the colder days propane can't handle it. Good therapy, just even watching this 👍
@WiltshireMan
@WiltshireMan 2 жыл бұрын
If you do use propane you can get a burner which has a preheater tube then its possible to invert the gas canister (only on stoves with preheaters and fuel feed hoses) then the burner will take liquid propane. It turns to gas as it hits the preheater.

I learned by doing RJ and if you camp in close proximity to the Ridgway and follow the Wild campers rule you should be OK. Pitch up late and leave early and leave no trace. The same applies to woodland camping, just make sure there are no dangerous trees or branches overhead and don't do anything that will draw attention to you.

A nice outing in the rain 👍. The little Trangia Mini is one of my favourite Cook Kits. I've added two bowls from a 70's 'Evernew Aluminium Camping Bowl Set' and a Tatonka 18cm SS Bowl. The lot nest very nicely into one another and there is not much that I cannot do with this setup. A caution .. there can be quite a bit of heat transfer through the bottom of the Pot Stand / Wind Screen. To take care of this, a piece of Silicon Mat cut to fit into the Mini Pan works fine (also better protection for the pan during storage) .. and .. a plastic cable tie cut and trimmed to suit and turned inside out keeps the jaws of the Pot Gripper together when stored. Take care ..

Thanks Joe, Yes the Lumix has finally died, the wet weather was the last straw. It has been a bit iffy for a while now so not unexpected. As for the RX100, I'd love one but just too much money for my pocket. I'll probably muddle along with the D7500 for B roll and the gopro for the time being, not sure what to get as a replacement video camera just yet, although I am leaning towards a Sony A6100. Money not in abundance just now as not been back to work properly since the eye op but easing back into it.

@@WiltshireMan the a6100 is a good choice . I sent my gopro back and getting a replacement it died lol. When using the D7500 it's best to manual focus it .plus you have 3 axis I.S and zebra stripes

Sorry to hear about the camera! Always when you least expect it. I have a Lumix G10 camera body lurking around you're more than welcome to have to keep you going until you can replace the G7. It's a slightly lower spec, but the micro 4/3d's lenses will fit. I upgraded to a G90, so the G10 is a bit redundant now (getting dusty ona shelf). Feel free to get in touch and I can post it!
