I have almost been hit twice by eagles flying into power lines. One was captured & taken to the RehabCentre. The other just exploded in a shower of guts. I took the carcass to what I assumed was the appropriate gov’t agency & they put it in their freezer. This led to a huge red-tape battle with Municipal,First Nations, local Provincial & Federal gov’t bureaus over who had responsibility for this bird. Eventually it was stuffed & ended up in the local museum.

Not fake--- first witness right here. Seen it happen to an eagle on a tower. Sitting on the conductor. Reached out to peck at something on the tower and instantly disappeared but for two feathers. At sea, seen a seagull chooglin' along at close to SPY-1 radar emitter elevation while CG-51 was 'long ranging' its Aegis (high power ~ 2 Megawatts at 50% duty cycle) Fool went and banked into a turn immediately in front of the radar emitter blasting 2 megawatts and popped like a balloon. Like the only good part about it is they're very few frames, so at first glance when not expecting it, you could buy it to some extent. But watch it twice and scrutinize it, no way you could believe it, at least not if you're effects savy.

Back in the early 1970's I saw a squirrel do that, it was a BIG flash of light and a loud BOOM and the only thing left of the squirrel was a bit of his tail on the ground next to the power pole.

When I was a kid a squirrel got on top of a transformer on a pole in our yard. He touched the wires and the transformer blew-loud and smoky. We went out to see what happened. Called the electric company to repair. My grandmother looked at the smoking squirrel in the grass and said,” Do you think that squirrel is ok?”. We all burst out laughing.........

When I was 12 my dad took me small game hunting for the first time..I was so excited I had been anticipating it for several years and finally the day had arrived(I think I was much more into the survival aspect then the actual hunting) it didn’t take us long to kick up some rabbits. I swung up my 16 gauge single shot to shoulder it and noticed a young hair at my feet and yelled “dad I see a rabbit”..my dad about 15 yards away yells back “well shoot it” lol..not seeing how I had em’ point blank… well I shot it. My dads walking up going “Oh my God” I looked back at my dad all excited “I got em”..my dad now right behind looking over my shoulder goes(under his breath) “yep you did” so I asked “what do we do take it back n eat it” my dad fkn laughed so hard and goes “what that little piece of fur, Matt there’s nothing left of it” I got a little bummed..so my dad put his hand on my shoulder nd goes “give him a running start next time haha”..I’m now 32 and maybe not one of the most “fondest” memories but something I’ll never forget because hunting/fishing and shooting guns was our “thing” that brought us together..I just lost my dad this January from complications to lung cancer and COPD..we used to work together selling card at a Ford dealership he was a financial manager and I was a salesman…🥺 I really miss him
