I positively love this! you indeed an artist. I wondered why handles were never but on any vases or other long wood turned items. You have pulled this off in true artistic form and how you designed the different woods to give a special design is simply amazing. I am not a wood turner and have never used a lathe but my dad had one and now I wish I had been able to get his after he passed. I love watching the magic happen from what appears to be an ordinary log or scraps of wood turn into amazing works of art or usefulness.

C'est du super beau boulot! c'est génial l'astuce de couper en 2 l'amphore pour creuser l'intérieure et puis d'insérer un cercle segmenté pour faire la liaison... Ce genre de forme c'est plus souvent fait tout en bois segmenté, et là partir d'une grosse pièce brut ça rend le résultat super joli! ça a pas du être facile comme réalisation et le résultat est vraiment top!

Your woodworking skills are obviously great but the thing that amazes me is how well you plan your projects before starting, at no stage do I think oh he's just winging it to see what happens, not a skill many kids your age have, be proud. Great work!

@@kingy002 It wasn't intended as an insult, I meant it in a more general sense that he's a young person which he clearly is, I'm sure there are children, teens and young adults all over the world that share traits, interests and passion for creating like Olivier but I'm not watching them I'm watching Olivier and when giving encouragement I feel its less impactful if phrased "congratulations you possess skills that some other young people do". While it's great that you know so many young people who are fostering skills like these and not meaning to offend either you or them but in this context, they have nothing to do with what I think of Olivier's work or the encouragement I offer. I'm not really sure why you felt the need to compare him too or lump him in with other talented kids. Some kind of weird flex? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
