Whoa! HECK YEAH! This may very well be, in my honest opinion, if not the best.....one of the best bowls that you have done. The swirl of the 2 resins....and the wood....I was standing there on that sandy, pebble-strewn, Alaskan shoreline watching the aurora borealis against that black, endless sky.

Worked out very well, the contrast between the wood and resin is lovely and the subtle swirls in the resin (in normal light) were just enough . Bold and beautiful :)

I love it when you pour the resin with the slow mo and porn music. I’ve seen it a hundred times and I still get a good laugh. I know when you cut to slow mo it’s going to be that or something is going to go flying. Love the bowl.You’re the man.

Here I am watching this thing get turned... You stated it was a failure. Now I knew that glowing resin was still in there somewhere cause of the pigment, but that Blk 3.0 is something else Ken! Great job it looks beautiful!

I think it gorgeous even though it was not what you wanted. Could you do one with just the LIT which might allow the wood to show through? Then would glow like you want. Good job. 😊♥

First. Okay, first ended up looking great. Thought that even if it didn't glow the black would look awesome. It all turned out great. Great work. Now the technical questions. How do you make your OB Shine, sanding sealer, and how/where did you get your logos from? Thanks and really appreciate the videos.

Hey, turning is one of the most therapeutic things I do. Start off with wood items first. Get good, real good. Then you can venture into resin. I would suggest if you are new to turning get some classes under your belt. If you are in the states woodcraft does them. Or you can fine a local turning guild and see when they do classes. As for tools I suggest learning traditional tools first then adding carbide to the mix. Carbide has it's place and I use them often, but they tend to teach bad turning technique. I hope this helps.

What is the difference between Acks wood paste and Yorkshire grit?

I really want to know if there's a way to almost (I know completely is impossible) preserve Black3.0 and Musou Black's effect behind resin, or just some other way to make the finish survive. I'm heavily interested in using these pigments for model making, but wargaming by necessity involves touching your models. If you preserve a B3.0/Musou-dipped object in a resin cube, will that work? I know you do more bowls, but I'm asking everybody I see work with the stuff.

I really am not sure. The resin naturally puts a shine on anything that comes in contact with it. I have never tried painting something with the 3.0 and casting it to see though.
