Woodturning - Holly Wood HEAVEN!

This was my first time turning Holly and I loved it. I've been told by many woodturners that it's a awful wood to use, but I found it buttery smooth and easy to get a good finish.
The piece has been sanded to 1000 grit and finished with Danish oil.

And Yes, I'm aware that wearing gloves while woodturning is considered an unsafe practice. The gloves I wear are tight-fitting and don’t have any loose threads. It is wonderful, Harry. Truly. My grandparents had a huge holly bush in their front yard. LOL....I'm sure it's still there, well maybe. I would hope that if they cut it down it would become something beautiful like this.

Thanks Sol. The Holly was felled a few years ago and I kept the logs outside, so wood isn't as bright as I had hoped. Do you like the design?? 👍😃🪵

You know you can make a jam chuck that would fit that. Alternatively use a Tenon and cut the tenant off the Dremel idea is questionable. Belt sander would have been better
