I just got a couple of nice pieces of Hawthorne that I found on a walk through a nature park. I figure it's better to show off the figure than to let it rot. I wish I could share pictures of the raw material with you. Very nice wood. I've set up my freezer kiln, and it's working overtime.

You can can fill it with whatever you want. Your wood, your workshop. No rules or laws in woodturning

Not my cup of tea, but I see the artistic and quality of your work . Just one thing please don't move the rest while the lathe is on, i only ask this for younger and less experienced wood turners.

You do know that wood burns. When the candle melts low enough, it will catch fire. Even those little tea lights will get hot enough. Ask me how I know.

Yes, I do know wood burns. Obviously you didn't. So did you leave a lighted candle unattended? Or did you just sit there and watch it burn down and catch fire? Tea light holders do not come with common sense, that you have to apply yourself. SO. How do you know this ?? Please tell.
