A new (used) lathe has arrived! Along with my lathe came a few large chunks of wood. Up first is this piece of Sycamore which measures roughly 20in long, 14in wide by 6in tall that I’ll turn into a natural edge winged bowl. I finished the bowl with Mahoney’s Walnut Oil. Once this oil dries for a couple of weeks I plan to apply a wax finish over it.
