The cracks that you see in the wood are called thunder shakes, they appear when the tree is subjected to very stormy conditions

🌲🍀🐾🦉Beautiful work. Nice mitered half lap joints & compound joints (on the legs). But I wouldn't have screwed the wood from the top, because now you can see the screw heads. It takes away from a beautiful looking table. Could of also have pegged it (more work & time, but worth it). Still, it's nice. The chair is too. Now just needs 🥛 & 🍪🍪's 😎🦉🐾🍀🌲.

🌲🍀🐾🦉2 more bigger tables with higher legs & additional chairs, would make for a complimentary dining room & kitchen set. Kitchen table could have a wide drawer in one rail for flatware & napkins/towels. It'd be a great matching "Craftsman Style" set 😉🦉🐾🍀🌲. 🌲P.S. Carve the rails & add a drawer in one and you'll have a nice library table/office desk as well🌲.

Great looking table, giving wood that often ends up burned or in landfill a new purposeful life...I must say though, that I am troubled by the method of execution. It doesn't appear that any allowance for the inevitable contraction and expansion of wood, particularly with the top being snugly dropped within the frame, with the top being screwed hard to the stretchers...

Am Anfang wird der Anschlag der Bandsäge nicht benutzt. Folge: viel Arbeit beim Abrichten. Kurze Zeit später dann doch. Was ist das denn für ein Unfug.😮
