That woman may seem well off to others, but the fact that she experienced so much trauma and abuse in her life clearly had a lasting impact…She was merely 6 when she became an orphan, she was homeless and barely managed to get by. Then she was adopted and groomed by her mother’s partner while she was still a teenager. Soon Yi became so entangled with her abuser that she even married him; she never experienced or had the opportunity to experience what love and affection can be, of what a normal relationship has to offer. Regardless of what you think about Woody Allen (and yes, he is a creep), Mia Farrow was a terrible mother. She admits in her own autobiography to hitting Soon-Yi over the head with a telephone. At least THREE of her adopted kids killed themselves, either on purpose or with drugs. It would have been easy for Woody Allen to take advantage of Soon-Yi, as she was desperate for a way out of being Mia Farrow's daughter.
