I had those excact toys when I was a kid, gahh the memories! I loved them to pieces and never stopped playing with them, I was a little disappointed that they were a little inaccurate but I didn't care. So many memories!!

I had a similar experience, regardless of being 15 years younger than you. When I was 3 or 4, I received a Jessie doll for either my birthday, or Christmas. I don't remember which. What I do remember though, is that I took this thing with me nearly everywhere. Even when my mom dropped me off at preschool, I felt safe knowing that good ol' Jessie was by my side.

Your story is very similar to mine. When I was about five years old, my grandma, whom, like you I also call Grannie, bought me a toy story woody doll. It was fairly in accurate to the movie, and there was no poll string to be found. His smile was large and very cheesy, but yet I loved him much, much more than any of my other toys. I have memories of my six-year-old self, Running, and dancing in the backyard, singing some childish song and swinging Woody around by his arms, like a wild lasso,and having the time of my life. I remember Long, dark nights. Lying in my bed, holding him close, and whispering secrets to him, as if I really believed he was alive. He became my best friend, and I pretty much became obsessed with toy story. But one day, when we had moved to a different house, and finished unpacking all the boxes, I soon discovered that Woody. had gone missing, I remembered that we had had a garage sale to get rid of things we didn't need anymore before the move, and I wondered if he might have been sold. I quickly thought about asking my mom about him, but I quickly dismiss the thought, not wanting to be laughed at. I was nine at the time, and I thought that perhaps asking what became of my childhood doll would seem to infantile. So I decided to wait it out, Hoping that perhaps he would suddenly turn up. But he never did, and by the time I was 11, I realized that I should have asked my mom after all. But now I couldn't, since then we had moved houses at least four more times, and I had seen no trace of him. One day, my grandparents and I took a trip to the toy store. I'm not sure why we did, like you said when you received your first buzz light-year doll. It wasn't Christmas and it wasn't my birthday. But nevertheless, I was looking at all the toys, wondering which one I would choose. At this point, the new movie Toy story three had just came to theaters. That meant toy story three toys were everywhere. I immediately skipped over to the toy story section, and there I found him. All wrapped in a small box, stood a toy story three woody mini figure, Similar to the one in the beginning of your video. I immediately became excited about the prospect of having a new woody to replace the old one. Rushing over to the checkout area, I was really excited about re-creating those old adventures with this new woody, and recapturing that special bond that my first woody doll and I once had. Months past, and although I love the new woody, he just wasn't the same. I quickly got bored of him, but I never entirely fell out of love with him either. I never sold him, and I still have him today, although I did lose his hat a few years back. Then when I was 16 I found out about the toy story collection Woody. I wanted one really bad, and I somehow convinced my grandparents, the same ones who got me the other Woody, to get me him. Even though I was a bit too old for toys. Like the woody mini figure, I still have my toy story collection Woody today, and I still love both of them. Even so, I have learned that no other woody on earth can replace my first one.

For my first Christmas all I wanted was a Woody doll. Christmas came around and he was the first thing I opened and was the only thing I opened for the rest of Christmas day. For years I'd take him everywhere, we've got a family photo which in the corner you can see him because I wouldn't let him go. 16 years later and I've still got him, sure the things on his boots have broken off and his pull string is tied up because that broke to and he looks battered has hell, but I still love him and he sits on display for everyone who comes to visit to see. Much to my parents dislike.

I have 2 woodys that I love so much but recently I was playing with my collection woody when... POP his head was off I was very sad so I asked my mom when we could fix him but she didn’t have super glue so around a week later I went to my friends house and I saw a gorilla glue bottle and all I could think about was woody so I ran to my house picked him and his head up and ran back to my friends house and we both glued him up together he’s on my bed right now with my other plushes 🤠

I had a Knockdown Woody as well (The small plastic figure you own)! I had lost his base and hat almost immediately, and I have no idea how I got him. Might've been a birthday present, though I could swear we bought him at a store. Anyway, he as well as the Burger King puppet and a beanbag-esque toy were a couple of the first Toy Story things I possessed, aside from some other BK/McD's toys. Unlike most of the other boys, I was obsessed with Woody. As cool as Buzz was, I wasn't too impressed with all the bells and whistles. I always thoroughly enjoyed the pull string mechanism as well as the floppy rag doll "feature." I didn't my first pull string Woody until Christmas 2003, that being the Squad Leader Woody. I had a friend who owned the Guitar one which we brought out during recess from time to time. I lost my old Knockdown Woody, but recently got a loose one that was only missing his base, as well as one NIB. He was one of the very few original items I had growing up that I had lost. Over the years, my old Squad Leader's pull string broke, which left me at dismay. I had to pay quite a bit to get a working one, but I still have the first. He's always been my favorite, and always will be. Over the years, I managed to acquire more, including the original POSABLE Woody. My love for these films will continue to grow, and I will continue to collect.

I remember having that woody with the guitar and i use to complain that it was too skinny around the torso unlike the movie version. One day i went to my cousin’s house i let them play with him but when it was time to go i completely forgot the hat & i live pretty far from them, the next few years were a bit depressing to the 10 year old me thought woody was nothing without the hat. Years went by and ended up giving it to another cousin of mine. I should have followed the example of my best friend, who still has it today even without hat and he always has it on top this box where he keeps his priced possessions.

I used to have a Disney Store Buzz from when Toy Story 3 came out. Now back then I was a toddler so who knows how I played with it. I played with him so much that by a few years he looked like this guys old Woody. But after many years of play with him, my mom accidentally threw him out thinking I didn’t want him anymore during a move to a new house. Buzz was the coolest toy in the world, and she just through it away😔😔 Now in 2019 I walked into a Disney store and saw the Toy Story 4 Set up they have. I saw the buzz and kinda had nostalgia times 100 and remembered my old Buzz from long ago. So now I own the new line of Disney Store Buzz Lightyears coming out. Sure it’s more film accurate and everything, but I’ll still always remember my old Buzz😔 Well there’s my story

I remember when my dad got me a shreiff woody doll for Christmas and me being a huge toy story fan he instantly became my favorite childhood toy and i took him everywhere i went even school and on vacation
