Im ascendant but im starting to recognise when getting traded is 'good enough' because i entried, created space, allowed my teammates to confidently take site, etc. Even in solo queue it's not optimal to be baiting every time, because then you become a part of the problem.

im a raze main, and even in silver i comm to my teamates, hey, im bouta double satchel follow up right behind me (along with calling util from support) I get the util, but by the time i get one and die, my team is still in main. now granted, this only happens 50% of the time, ya win some, ya lose some. @@TechSupportDave

Dude Woohoojin I hate this about my elo. Like every game these people don’t want the enemy to know which site we’re hitting even after it is so blatantly obvious or if the choice is so obvious which we SHOULD hit. Like they wanna get an advantage and then throw away that advantage just because they want to make the site we’re hitting unknown. And I try to tell them “who cares if the enemy knows which site we’re hitting they are in bad position to stop us”

This is exactly how most games go. Even if the game starts off with duelist entrying as they should, the rest of the team throws 1 piece of util if any, and watches the duelist kill 2 or 3 on sight before running through smoke, or die and calls rotate after giving up the entire map. Then duelist stop wanting to entry and die for nothing, and lurk. Typical game for any elo, at least up to diamond.

My favorite thing is when you accept that someone needs to initiate, so you stack with a teammate and peek out of a smoke and die, and you realize your teammate didn’t trade and decided to go back into the smoke only to peek 5 seconds later and die from the same guy that just killed you

I've always wanted to get coaching from you in the past, but I had completely quit valorant and left any servers I was in, I'm joining back because after about half a year I'm getting back into it. I logged into an account I had, since almost all my other accounts got banned because my ex had logged into all of them about a year ago and got most of them banned for a year or little less lol. I used to be stuck G3 and on the account I played, I got placed G2, double ranked to p1, then double ranked to p3 carrying as raze in diamond lobbies. I then gave a friend the access to the account so they could try Yoru since they have never played him, and they got mad or something stupid and got it banned for 2 weeks. As disappointing as it is, I at least know I've somehow gotten a lot better, but I still need to improve a lot and I can feel it. love your content man, I've always found your information useful even if it was just a little bit.

This is definitely an issue I’ve personally struggled with, but as a Yoru main I have just started putting down clone, flashing out of the smoke, activating clone, and going in. I may not be good enough yet to win the duels coming out of the smoke every time, but at least it incentivizes my team to put their foot on the gas.

If you run out of smoke, especially in Ascent A, just check close left or right. Don't spend too much brain power anticipating which place they peek from. Check close left/right then dice or gen. If someone's heavena and you die that isn't your fault. Someone should've already went with you. Ultimately this is a team game so doing everything yourself is impossible. Also speaking as a Yoru main, throw the clone opposite of where you run. Also be careful of rat players who camp weird looking smokes. If a smoke looks bad, its because its baiting you to approach it. Try spamming it first.

No, I mean, on the lower elo, there's a lot of duelist that won't do entry at all, and they let the rest of the team enter first and then died, which is suck 😂( but that's probably the reason why they're still on the low elo )

I was Masters in console CoD HCSND 10 years ago, and I still see PC players who panic and refuse to press W. If you are on attack, W is the win button. If you refuse to press W faster than the other team, you will never win. If you are on defense, you need strategy and positioning to win reliably. If you are on attack, you just need mind games and violence of action to win. 24:30, your observation of their urgency once bomb is planted is prevalent across all ranks in every FPS genre. Even in Overwatch, you'll see tons of games where a team is getting curb stomped all game; blaming the matchmaker for putting them in a game with players who are so much better than them. Then all of a sudden on last fight before the round is over, they win the fight and steal the whole round because they were always the better players; they were just desynced on their individual senses of urgency until they were all forced to be on the same tempo at the last fight.

Depends, if you feel like you caught that one last guy rotating then i think you can try and clear the site. If you think there are more people and you are alone you should regroup and stay alive since you just gave your team a 4v5 with just one kill and it's much easier.

I felt like crying (bad day at work) when I hopped into game and my teammates kept staring at the smoke at A main on split just sitting there. A smoke will evaporate and enemy brim will place and another until we ran out of time. By the second time that happened even if i was playing controller I pushed and died while jett was sitting in the back🥲

@@htoomyatlin123 i mean unironically it's not a bad idea as long as the enemy isnt doing anything about it and you or your team ARE planning and making a better attempt each time. your chances may unironically become lower if you keep trying new things as you or your team will be less confident in what's "uncharted", as opposed to what they already did multiple times. just depends how much communication your team has, really. in the first 4 rounds or so aim to try every kind of attack and then after that try attacking where things seemed the easiest for you or your team. If it works, don't change anything until it stops working two times in a row. edit: even in ascendant+ players will sometimes just keep re-hitting the same site over and over, because the game isn't so easy that the enemy will somehow adapt to that perfectly. Usually they might send over one more guy to defend but that just means the other site will be weak, so after you force the enemy to change their formation you can expect the other site to be more likely to work. It's basically 50/50 whether they fix their formation after a successful round but regardless, persistence leads to the enemy rotating off of the site slower as they will be more worried you'll just re-hit it again. Beyond that point it's just about playing simple mind games. Make noise B, but re-hit A again. Very easy and doesn't even really require creativity or anything. Quite the opposite lol.

if u know who Perry2N or SmackSmack are and if you adopt that defensive playstyle, playing early on in smokes with a shorty conditions the enemy team that the smokes=death. So in those exceptions conditioning the enemy to kill time and wait for smokes helps your team play more effectively around your Brim util

My guess is because in the cam video everyone was just playing passive post-plant. And in this video it was more on a tempo just after clearing site > clear heaven with Cam cause someone could've still been playing up there. Afterward they can play their normal post-plant cause site is free.

They don't have recon, they don't have smoke, or anything to make sure no one is gonna peek out at the opportune time considering their last known location, they haven't even fully made it onto the site. As far as the enemy are concerned, omen was the only that made it across but he died. Gate is not closed so they're able to still play an angle for info if someone's tree..

Hi! I have a bit of a problem. I don't have a personal computer. I only play in computer shops and every PC, although the same, feels "different." I reached plat a few days back. Started in January. I've followed your training routine where I go in the range, overflick then move thingy, death match, all the good stuff but I still feel like my aim hasn't gotten any better. this is why I can’t stand playing with random players. They NEVER enter sites until the worst possible times. Some kid reported me for being toxic because I told him/my teammates that if you wait too long to get onto the site then our opponents will all rotate to the site we’re trying to plant on. I never insulted them either and I was in text chat so no yelling. I’ve never gotten angry while playing valorant until I played that match. And guess how we lost? We were attacking, iso and yoru are mid, sage, brimstone, and me are SUPPOSED to push B on ascent. No one pushed, I got 2 kills until they killed me as I was the only one there, iso gets 2 kills then goes afk, brimstone dies, yoru dies, sage is the only one alive because he hid by a box the whole time. The only remaining opponent is the brimestone on the other team. Sage spots him and just starts spamming and freaking out. There’s 20 seconds left. So you know what sage decides to do instead of eliminating brim? He runs to the afk iso and just stands there waving his gun around until we eventually lose the round and match. Annoying.
