La docilidad del animalito me sorprendió. En Perú y Bolivia vi a los campesinos con el amor que cuidan sus llamas, vicuñas, alpacas y guanacos, especialmente las dos primeras son muy lindas sobre todo cuando son bebés y muy cariñosas con los turistas. Con su lana hacen labores muy preciosas.

@@Simba______She wasn't yanking on that animal, she (sheep) was startled by her touching her face and moving the wool from her eyes. If that animal was in pain then we would have heard her or had her actually struggle more then a startled flinch. She's admitted in the past that she's not the strongest person and some of the rams in the past could have broken free from her hold if they really wanted to.

I think they should be washed down afterwards to be sure no hairs can get in their eyes. Not respectful if hair gets in their eyes. I know I saw air blowing out of the shaver but nothing is perfect

I think this IS the original meaning. That vatican families that run the world think of us as sheep to lead to slaughter. They use the term “herd immunity” referring to the poisons they feed us and spray on us. They’ve been pulling the wool over our eyes for thousands of years. I’m fairly certain it’s called a blink reflex, most animals with eyelids have it. What’s really cool is when animals with nictitating membranes use them cause you can still see their eye. But yeah no, most creatures have a blink reflex to varying extents.

This isnt normal for wild sheep. Wild sheep have hair like a goat's but when people domesticated them and bred them for generations they developed this wooly textured hair and people kept and bred these ones so that they could use them for their wool

Автор рассказывала, порода выведена искусственно, чтоб овцы выглядели няшно. Зарастают и глаза и ушки. В природе такому животному не выжить. У большинства пород овец на морде и подмышками волосы коротенькие и не растут - это гуманно. А если такая потеряется - все.

I typically use a guard on my clippers around my wooly ones' eyes. Course in south Louisiana, it's always hot year round except for a few freak winter storms, so shearing every 3 weeks unless it gets cold and then they have their heated stalls and even body sweaters that we sew up for them and then an extra wearble blanket that we keep on them...

I sleep with a flat sheet and rugs (wool blankets) and year round I use three on my bed. A very dense wool one, a more mohair-y wool one and a rather open crocheted one. Depending on how cold or warm the night is I add or take off a rug, leaving me perfectly comfortable year round! This is how my parents beds were made up when they were growing up here in Ireland

There's a word for the feeling you just elicited in me. Fernweh. It's German for "homesick for a place you've never been." I want to go to Ireland so bad but I'm afraid I'd never leave.

Wool is the best, I agree! Fluffy greetings from a German knitter! Actually, I'm working on a Loop scarf for my sick colleague. Merino, alpaca and Mohair, To get her warm and comfortable.
