If anyone watched Jake (KnapfordHarbour)'s 'Squeak, Rattle and Roll', you might have noticed my friend and I had a bit of a challenge to make a remake in 4 days. On a practical level, that was nearer 3, with one day to tweak and render and only deciding to go ahead on Monday evening for completion on Friday. I finished all my filming and put a rough cut together, but didn't have a chance to put the audio in. All those sound effects drive me round the bend - my one fear is that they dominate Ringo's narration at points!
I always like to try something new, even with limited time. In this case, it was the hay sequence. The hay is actually twine cut into small pieces. To paint Percy's saddle tank black, I gave it a coat of latex which peeled off easily. I used the same technique to apply the hay.
