Live broadcast - full version. This week we "introduce" nuno felt by looking at a variety of examples and ways you might incorporate this technique into your felt making. It is more of a show-n-share and talk looking at finished products, test samples, fabrics and some fibers to help give you ideas for how you might like to begin or to explore this tecnhique.
In two weeks, we will come back together for a tutorial felt-a-long to make your own nuno felt samples.

Hi Marie, you are a gem ! You know I look for soooooo many video tutorials and I always end up coming back to yours, because of your beautiful teaching style and enthusiasm..love love love your channel.. question. I'm fairly newish to wet and needle felting, on my fourth project, but want to start including silks, and different textures, are there any specific videos or tutorials that'll teach where I can start exactly? I'm also trawling through videos looking for large needle felted intricate pictures, and landscapes. Apart from Anna Repke are there any others you can guide me towards please? I'm so in love with felting and wish I'd known about it years ago! Look forward to hearing from you.. much love all the way from England UK xx

where can I find the pattern for your tunic? 16:03mn in the video? merci:)thanks from Houston

Hello Laurence. There is no pattern for my tunics. I made my own pattern. One was made from my body measurements, for another I modeled a sewn tunic that I own combined with the neckline of a blouse that I own. A great online workshop that we have which can help you create your own pattern would be this one for a dress by Diana Nagorna .. you can just make it shorter for a tunic. feltingsupplies.livingfelt.com/Nuno-Felting-Dress-Tutorial-VIDEO--Diana-Nagorna-_p_1453.html

@@LivingFelt I would appreciate a video about how to make your own dress pattern. I've made lots of scarves already and I am looking to make something I can actually wear as a standalone piece, but it seems there are very limited resources about this subject online. I haven't had a lot of success creating my own patterns, because I am not a pattern drafter, I'm a fiber artist. T___T any help would be greatly appreciated.

What about a blanket
@LivingFelt
@LivingFelt 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Marissa, you can felt anything you like.... blankets come in many sizes....baby, throw, bed spread? Laying it out would be an issue of size, the larger it is...the longer it will take to layout. Practicality would be a consideration...washing it, durability depending on how it is used, etc. The more use it will get, the better felted you would want it to be, while also having the desired drape. This is where making test pieces come in to play so you get your parameters right = fabric of choice, fiber of choice, thickness/thinness of wool, felting amount, shrinkage :)

'Vilt' is just Dutch and not middels Dutch, the same in whole Netherlands. And you say it like 'filt', the first one on the list.
