I know this feeling, to some degree. It doesn’t quite make sense before the race but sometimes we have to push (hard) and believe. But we trust the hard work and trust the process (and pacer) and all the work done beforehand. Sometimes the stars (and weather) align on race day and all the hard work does pay off.
