Words like nepotism, pick me and mistreatment are only a few examples of words that kpop stans misuse all the time, leading me to believe they don't know the real meaning of these terms.
Kpop stans like to throw around many different words but they don't even know what exactly they are talking about...

At this point favoritism literally means “my bias isn’t as popular as another member so I’m gonna go cry about it online. If my bias get outfits that are slightly worse than their groupmate, it must mean the company is intentionally plotting their downfall and sabotaging their success. But of course it’s the most popular member’s fault. We must blame them instead.” clownery at its finest 🤡

People have no idea what ACE or all-rounder truly means. An ACE is someone who excels in their field whether that be singing, dancing, acting, rapping, cooking, science, medicine, sports, etc. An all-rounder is someone who has many skills. An all-rounder in K-pop may know how to sing, act, dance, and even rap but that does not mean they are an ACE.

They Just call their faves all rounders as a compliment. They don't really see rap as something that requires skill and training, so if their favs has amazing vocals and captivating dancing, they assume that idol can rap well too, and quickly call them an all rounder

@@yummyeon I will never understand why people love to justify the hate she receives. Yes Yujin worked hard to gain her fan base from CLC just the same way all the contestants/ Kepler members, all trainees and all K-pop idols worked hard to be where they are. It’s not about who earned their fans but if your logic is Bahiyyih shouldn’t have competed because of her brother being Kai I guess for unfair advantage then Yujin shouldn’t have competed also because of unfair advantage from a somewhat established fan base, why is this so hard to understand? My point is everyone regardless of who they are related to or who they trained with deserves a chance and at the end of the day, she came in second just by pure votes which says a lot so just because you don’t see what others see in her doesn’t mean she’s useless or doesn’t deserve a spot in Kepler. She’s in the group whether you guys like it or not so haters can go cry about it. ✌🏽

@Su-ra Soos GIRL 😭😭 she was never part of YG or belift, the only company that she get in was cube and wasn't picked for lightsum lineup, she AUDITIONNED for yg and get in 1st round then wasn't retained for 2nd round, and she auditionned for belift, meet eunchae but wasn't even retained for 1st round meanwhile eunchae did, trained, and was retained for le sserafim lineup then debuted in somu. like getting in first round of audition is not getting in the company itself stop setting her up maybe ? again, yujin and shiro get their fame BY THEMSELVES, not because of their connexions, this is not nepotism and you should check the definition of nepotism. yujin and shiro had to earn that privilege, bahiyyih had just to born in the huening family as if the others 98 girlies didn't worked hard too ? like this is not even a point, they were others trainees who had a far worst hate train like su rui qi yaning cai bing yurina xing qiao dayeon meanwhile they taked initiatives all the show. she had far more screentime that two thirds of the 99 contestants, had the privilege to perform until the final episode yet didn't stand one once time. her dream had came true because her and her brother didn't hesitated to destroy someone else career

people have no idea how favoritism is tbh. popular members are not equal to them being the company’s favorite. people calling wonyoung as the company’s favorite is WILD because she is only first in 2/7 songs by maybe 2 seconds from #2 and everyone else pretty also got a lot of opportunity. if they were saying things like starship is capitalizing on wonyoung and yujin popularity for IVE, that’s more accurate. favoritism is just ..? like wtf
@soft4taeng
@soft4taeng Жыл бұрын
Exactly! I also don’t think it would make sense for Starship to favor her and neglect the others because what would the company even gain from it? It’s much more profitable to have a group where everybody is known than a group with only one famous person and the company knows that, that’s why they are trying to promote everyone, Wonyoung just happens to be more famous.
@blackbear7624

She is the company favorite tho lol. Why you think she is sent to lots of shows? because she brings money! she is the favorite. “they gain nothing by favoring her” lol they gain money, that’s why. And what about the whole clothes fiasco? where she is given an astronomically better fits and even on one occasion literal solo fits where she looks like a solo and other’s the backup dancer? is that not the company pushing her out of favoritism? are you saying that wonyoung dress herself for her schedule?
@soft4taeng
@soft4taeng Жыл бұрын
@@blackbear7624 Do you even know that she's often the MC for the shows they participate in and that's why she has a different dress from the other members? Also it's pretty funny that you're talking about favoritism right now when last week Gaeul literally had a solo schedule at a Chanel event and yesterday Gaeul and Rei had another solo schedule for yet another event...maybe you should stop focusing on Wonyoung's activities only and keep up with what the other members are doing before speaking nonsense.

I like you breaking down the meaning of these words that everyone misuse. All these kpop haters are acting like pick mes but projecting it onto these idols. Also nepotism is a huge problem in Korea but the way everyone keeps conflating nepotism and privilege is very annoying. Several people in Kepler started from a privileged position because they were in previous kpop groups, previous survival shows, or had famous friends or sibling. None of that is nepotism.

about the it boy/it girl situation i also find it very stupid when people go about it like "no there can be only one it boy and one it girl in a generation" no. yes, your favorite is an it boy/girl but it's not a prize or a reserved title for one person. as you said in the video, when they're popular outside of k-pop, be it acting, modeling ect. they are considered to be an it boy/girl. i'm saying this because the amount of times i came across to people saying "No, A isn't an it boy/girl. Currently a word that kpop stans (nor kpop companies) seem to understand is, AI. AI isn't your word for animated idol, it isn't the word you use when you talk about aespa, it isn't the word for mave or plave and it isn't the word for k/da. AI means artificial intelligence, that's it. If artificial intelligence has difficulties making a hand, do you possibly think that it can make a whole kpop group? No. Because it doesn't. When people talk about how there isn't hard work around mave and fully animated idol groups, they are being really ignorant on what the group actually consists of. Because these are animed idol groups, there isn't just the idols and the producers/directors/editors. There are the singers, dancers, producers, designers, animators, the sound and then the producers/directors/editors. It doesn't take away from real groups to knowledge that animated groups put a lot of work into them as well.

In my opinion, I don’t think calling any one an IT anything even matters atp. Even in the west, fans overuse the heck out of that word and it just lost its meaning overall. This is especially bc it’s easier to get famous now than it was back in the early to late 2000s before social media. Everyone can be an IT person now. Even influencers are working fashion and acting and doing music(not like any of is good), but my point is that it even lost its meaning in the US. I can’t speak for Europe though.

I think the word queerbaiting shouldn't be used at all UNLESS you are 100% sure and you have evidence that an idol who is "queerbaiting" is straight. Assuming someone's sexuality is homophobic and this INCLUDES assuming someone is straight. Who tf can you call someone out for queerbaiting if you don't know they are straight?
