You're not completely wrong though. Romanisation differ when it comes to Korean pronunciation. Like, take a word gwenchana (괜찮아), here the first letter in hungal 'ㄱ' sounds like 'G' or 'k' .. or in between 'g' and 'k' ..so you can say gwenchana/ kwenchana. Both can be correct.

It’s amazing what you can learn from watching these dramas & KZfaq channels. I can recognize Korean, Chinese (Mandarin) & Japanese when I hear it. I can also recognize if someone is Korean, Chinese, Japanese or Taiwanese based on their facial features. It’s great and I’m loving this experience!

I seriously learned a lot of korean words from watching kdramas ,being a kpop fan and I am also trying to study it. I know now how to write basic sentences like where to put the verbs ,the subject smtg like that. Some expressions ofc ㅋㅋ Learn hangeul writing. That's why sometimes I kinda understand kdrama without reading much subtitles :))

This is too true! These are pretty much the only Korean words I know, more or less. Saranghae was the first word I memorized. ''I love you'' is usually the first phrase I tend to memorize when it comes to foreign languages.

Should have added 전하 for all us sageuk watchers. The amount of times I have seen the royal court scream Jeonhaaaaaaaaa 😂😂😂 oppa, unnie, mianhae, saranghae is childsplay after 10 years of kpop/kdrama. I can even understand old korean lmao

I can relate to that so much but with the word 마마. Currently watching a drama on Netflix and every other scene one character is yelling mamaaaaaaa at the Prince🤣. Can you recommend any more good shows?
