This is why Buddhism is the greatest philosophy. Its the most practical of all the religions. No false promises of God and Heaven just a way to reduce worldly suffering by training your mind to be less obsessed with superficial things in life and how to be positive when others are negative. For me its the Greatest religion if i may call it one.

Buddhism is not religion. It offers no commandments, no superior being to worship, and so no inferior being to disdain. Buddhism is a way of liberation from the taboo of knowing Who You Are.

Sadness or suffering is the bringer of truth. No one wants to suffer and yet we end up suffering all the same. Why? As long as we have clinging we will end up in situations that create suffering. The courageous person understand the message embedded in his suffering and seek to uproot its fundamental cause. Unnecessarily inflicting pain on one self is not the way, but when suffering come knocking on the door we invite it into our house as if it was the most revered teacher. As long as we have un-wanting things happening to us we have not yet transcended samsara. Impermanence is the very nature of having a human body and life. Clinging will only bring grief and suffering. If death is not understood life cannot be understood either. At the end it is all about having a realistic relationship with life and our own being. Instead of having unrealistic dreams about how life should be we can have the most practical view of all, the view of enlightenment. That would truly be something remarkable! The Lord Buddha appeared in this world in order to teach us the precise methods of transcending our ignorance and reach the other shore of awakening. When the shores of awakening have been reached never again will we be falling back into the old state of ignorance. Why? Ignorance is a temporary state which is not inherent in our true nature. When ignorance have been transcended our own inherent wisdom will shine like the sun that illuminates everything. When the darkness of ignorance is lifted by the blazing light of our wisdom it disappears as if it had never been there. It was all just a bad dream.

Sorrow and Pain are Gifts. They are given to push a Soul away from the transitory illusion called Matter. Those who live for self and pleasure are the walking dead, who are trapped in the illusion and don't know it. Whatever the physical world teaches as purpose or goals is the complete opposite of how to reach the Abiding.

Grief will go away but it will come at any time without your knowledge. Happiness is a useless because it doesn't come always. Happiness comes once in a while and disseapeares all of a sudden, so give less preferences to happiness and more priority to sadness. Sadness comes every moment and never goes back.

U should learn about Lord Buddha's teachings he said that everything is Anicca(impermenant) when something is impermanent dukkha(suffering) arises..... Some ppl try to keep something to their liking but ultimately when they fail they suffer.... The buddha taught us the way to end this suffering , by achieving Nibbana by following the noble 8 fold path....

I do N O TT want enlightenment; just give me back my loved ones , you ominous force that snatched them away from my tight grip!
@deela262
@deela262 2 жыл бұрын
Yes the forces are ominous. Period. And inescapable too. There are little tid bits of sense pleasure and for a rare few, ultra sense pleasures through meditation - but they are all temporary, given the eons long repeated cycle of birth ; according to The Buddha's Teachings. That's why out of Compassion the Buddha strived so hard over eons of lifespans to reach super normal mental powers in that last life, to see if there is a way out of suffering . But no, if born, all these tragic things and more might happen..at least the horrors of even old age, sickness and death will happen . So He explained the pathway to workout, so as Not to get born, ever...., because birth occurs only when, out of ignorance of the big scheme of things, one craves to continue living and enjoying in some form. Becoming "Enlightened" is when one gains Knowledge into this horrific ultimate reality, the realisation of which simply dries out the craving to be. Problem solved. No birth, no sufferings. In the mean time, "continue to avoid all harmful actions through body, speech and mind. And do pure deeds through body speech and mind. And learn to master the mind to bring out its pure qualities " Thats the gist of The Buddha's advise. Metta to you..!
@Deadsea_1993
@Deadsea_1993 Жыл бұрын
What is to say that the force was evil ? All of this is part of reality and could be just the order of things. The boy jumped into the river, the Eagle was looking for food, the snake was defending itself. The family home was destroyed by bad weather. One sees that it is the result of evil while another could see that these are unfortunately events.
