Outside the anime convention, the tactical guy wore russian army uniforms with Z (aka russian swastika) patches. He was covering his face and handling a Kalachnikow imitation gun. The convention visitor from Ukraine confronted him and insisted on Z patches removal. The letter Z has become widely known as a political symbol of support for the russian army in the invasion of Ukraine.

Russian kit is solid, I’ve got a pretty good collection and it’s just as functional as western kit although it may have a different thought process behind its design. I’ll admit though I’m not a huge fan of the EMR pattern, I prefer ATACS-FG.

No joke at my local airsoft site on the same day there were 5 players in the following uniforms: 1. Waffen SS Charlemaigne (French volunteers) 2. Russian army with a chechen patch and Z patch 3. IDF Uniform 4. IRA Uniform 5. Taliban Uniform And the funny thing is everyone got along no matter because its just for fun and immersion. The two Ukrainians in the video seem to be young, able-bodied men, so if they care so much about their people, they should head back home and fight. A little less than half of the people in the east were pro russia because they were ethnic Russians who moved to the area in soviet times, these people formed militias and fake referendums and called for Russian support.

I’ve actually had a similar experience, I was wearing my Original Ukrainian military marine uniform last Halloween 🎃 and I came face to face with a Pro-Russian supporter and luckily we’ve had a good political conversation without any problems and came to understand that we can all choose side and still get along.

Вам мало доказательств даже теперь. Вы так и не поняли от чего пришла спасать Россия. Ваши вопросы "а нас за что?" и "почему?" так и зависли в вашем же "мы не просили нас освобождать!" и "нам не нужен такой Русский мир". WW2 is history to 99% of folks around. Something that happened decades ago, and most no longer that significantly care about, it is in the past. But the war in Ukraine is very much an ongoing conflict, which has and is destroying millions of lives. And all of it is the fault of people wearing this uniform, no matter what the moscbots say. So it is not at all surprising that not everyone is okay with that kind of display. Here, this guy would get beaten into pulp the second he steps out of his house

Since when is it not ok to express support for a country in times of war? Why would flying a Ukrainian flag infront of Russians be any different? Would it have been different if the guy just had a patch of the Russian flag? When do we draw the line between "acceptable disrespect" and you "should be jailed disrespect?"

The gear is fine. But the patch is symbol of unlawful invasion, murders, rapes, destroyed dreams. Displaying it shows support for Putin's war, and by not much of a stretch, all russian war crimes committed in Ukraine. Of course you could say that about american flag, which is fine and we can discuss that too. But right now, we are talking about Z symbols of war that is still going on.

@@KobeHollladaze There are Videos of Russian soldiers entering abandoned homes, looting them, laughing at family Photos and burning them. Considering this behavior and the fact that rape happens in almost every war, its safe to say that the war in Ukraine is no exception.
