This April the yearly order of CWR made an appearance on the ONR’s system. I wanted to see how it was done with the laying of CWR on the railroad so even though the weather was less than favourable I went out. The forecast was heavy rain for the whole day (about 50-70mm)
They were ordered out of Englehart at about 7:30 and after getting ready they departed out of SCL Englehart to work in between mile 138 and 130 Temegami sub.
After arriving at 135.91 they had a mission briefing before beginning the laying of CWR, I ended up missing them laying 135 to 135.91 as it was all bush.
At 11:30 they finally reached me at 136.52(Kerrs Rd) and began laying CWR, after laying this stretch of track they headed back to Englehart. 213 and 211 were ordered in about an hour so Work 999 had to yield and wait until they departed. At 2:40 2124 departed for Jardine and returned the same day back to Englehart.
This basically sums up the morning CWR on April 12th 2024. I apologize for cutting the clips short but I hope you enjoy what I compiled for you guys.
Just a side note this heavy rain caused many problems for not only the Railroad but also everyone in the region. This heavy rain caused many road washouts and in many low places the tracks got flooded over with water (no washouts on the railroad thankfully).
