Niall is an entrepreneur who founded Simply Zesty, a global digital agency, in 2009 and sold it 3 years later to UTV. The company started out in his spare bedroom with just €10,000 in start-up capital. The company helps brands such as Vodafone, Samsung and Sony with their social media strategies developing creative campaigns on platforms like KZfaq, Facebook and Twitter. Niall now works on growing the company across Europe, Asia and the USA working with large international brands on their digital and social media strategies. Simply Zesty recently merged with Tibus Digital to create one of Ireland and the UK's largest digital media agency with 50 people spread between Dublin, Belfast and London.
Niall is also an angel investor backing small Irish companies to help them create jobs and achieve the same success as Simply Zesty. His personal websites are www.lovintrends.com and www.lovindublin.com where he blogs his forthright reviews of restaurants in Dublin and beyond. When not working -- he's thinking about it while walking his dogs Snoop and Buster
About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)

Funny seeing Niall from his corporate days. By having fun and doing what he loved, he has gone on to become one of the greatest advocates for street dogs to have ever lived.

This is inspiring and helps people get through their tough time. When you are trying to figure things out and you made it, there is always some negative in life. Leave them alone, since you have come so far. Too far to pay any attention on it. Move on and thanks for your dedication and generosity. I happened to watch this today, not my cup of tea,but it’s you.

My life is driven by the desire of pursuing material things. In my country, if people dont have a social status, a career, money, they are losers. I am afraid to be a loser. It's exhausting. I dont like my job. But I do not know what I want to do. I want to be an activist, environmental protector but I am too sensitive, soft heart. I dont like to have many social interactions. I am mentally exhausted when talking a lot. I dont like traveling much. Something I want to do is not match with something I can do or my energy level. :| I am lost at this point. It's harder than I thought.

***** Thank you for your advice. It's nearly the end of 2013 and I'm all emotional. Last year at this time, I was crying because my scholarship was cut down. Now I am still here, struggling to find out how to get it. It's very hard not to care about others' thinking. I am trying to do that. Maybe because I am not confident about myself without all the achievements. :D Sounds funny. I hope that I would not waster another year struggling.

He thinks he unlocked humans but he really hasnt. He is an utopian for who life was kind and he made it. 99% of people wont, ever.

Fair play to the guy and this comment is not meant as an attack on him, but the ideas, attitude and critical awareness contained within. This is paper thin public intellectualism. We should all have more fun??? SRLZY? This is proferred as a solution to the thousands of sad faces on a monday morning? Or the reality of poverty? Did he really just skip over losing close friends over borrowing money he couldn't pay back whilst saying that money isnt important. he worked on the ship of one of the world richest men and then says everyone can do that? How many of those jobs are around. How many peoples daily work added to the rich old guys wealth. How the hell do the ideas included here assist in public literacy or public knowledge about the world around us? This is pure nonsense.

"So yeah then I just decided to abandon all of my responsibilities and head to some far flung part of the planet to enjoy myself", sorry Niall, but 99.9% of working people cannot afford to do this. Utter tripe from a clown who got lucky.
