Hi John, there was never any truth in the ridiculous rumour that those seats were being thrown out, as for the Shankly Gates there's no plans to move them and the retractable bollards either side of them are a permanent feature. One side note on the gates, they're probably the most photographed feature of the stadium, at every home game there's a massive queue of people (tourist fans mostly) waiting to get their photo taken in front of them, if the gates were moved to any other location it would cause a massive congestion issue. lastly, I wouldn't expect the stand to be fully completed and the new road open for public use before the start of next season. It's great you're keeping the videos coming mate, I'm sure it's appreciated 👍

The shankley gates and bollards are staying as they are, it's to help with exiting fans to stop bottle necking. The seats are from the lower tier home fans end by the red boarding, they removed them after the final game

They took the walls either side of the Shankly gates down to allow easier movement of the extra fans in the new stand.

I dont think anything more is going to happen to the Shankly gates until LFC start to expand the Sir Kenny Stand. That will require the stand becoming deeper in depth and hopefully a third teir of seating added so the height of the stand matches that of the Annie Road or the Maun Stand. This though because of right to light rules will mean all the houses on both sides of Skerries Road would need to be demolished and the residents relocated elsewhere , therefore i cannot see a full redevelopment of the Sir Kenny starting for atlest anoth 5 or 6 years at the earliestbut this is something that LFC will need to do at some point in the future as their is a need for Anfield to hold a minimum 70,000 fans and if they could also redevelop the Kop with a second teir of seats then the ground could easily hold 75,000+ although this wiukd require a lot of new roads and transport links to Anfield if itcwas to be granted permission. I think that is probably at least a 15 year project

When are they going to start cladding underneath the stand and why haven’t they moved the Shankly gates, it just looks alone and they should be a brick wall
