United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) conducted a series of interviews with United Nations staff members to provide additional information on working for the UN, and to allow staff members the opportunity to share their professional and personal insights into working for the Organization.
In this video, Eva Jansen and Benjamin Salignat, both Human Resources Officers with the United Nations Department of Management Strategy, Policy and Compliance (DMSPC), provide general information about careers at the UN with some useful tips. Raja Gundu, Political Affairs Officer with the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (OCT), shares his experience working in peacekeeping operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and more.

Working in the UN always were my dream and after several unsuccessful attempts I finally did it! I truly admire my organization, its values, its mission and i can now assure anyone that UN is probably one of the best if not the best employer one could have! I am still at the beginning of my career in the UN, but i am sure long and interesting way is waiting for me ahead!

Hello, salaam 2 all's.and I hope all's get better and better. My family a Asylum seekers family. We have been living or living for more than five years. Here environment in Afghanistan's is very insecure.the live life. The whole world and UNHCR know what a Security Risk it is to lives here's. And we've locked ourselves in the Place of residence. Very informative video for those who wish to join UN and I am one of them as I have Don my Master in business Administration with HR specialization and international organization management from Geneva university and international humanitarian law from leiden university Netherland and have solid background in Social sector organization on different position.
