I found it extremely scary when she induced labor before her due date.... that could be dangerous for both the baby and herself, yet she cared more about her clients and put 2 lives at risk. I honestly wouldn’t want someone to do my wedding when they can’t even take care of themselves or their family properly.

Yoonyoung Choi I really hope both of the parents can change. If they both plan to work they should alter better. If the mother especially doesn’t change her sense of priority, I say she stops working or the children needs to find a better home. Children neglect especially from such an early age, will most definitely affect the kids. It’s saddening if this continues.

Honestly nothing wrong with working, but there should be a work life balance. My parents worked each two to three jobs when we moved to the US but I still recall them taking time to take us to the beach, six flags and other places. My dad said they were basically walking zombies but they are happy they got to spend family time. Now we’re older, my mom doesn’t work and my dad works way less but runs a business, I got a house down the street so I can come over when ever 😂 I hope she figures out a better work life balance

So she just gave birth to 2 kids and left them with their father. Being a strong independent career oriented woman is worth an applause. But being a birth giver does not make that woman a mother... Its a title that has to be earned. Job and all...good for her... I admire her for that. But as a woman, leaving 2 kids and spending only 10 mins with them per day... ?? SMH

I mean, I don't think it is right as well, but many "fathers" out there do this as well and people will say "they are working to provide for the family" and somehow it is okay. Anyway, in a society as sexist as Korea, I don't think this is much of a concern, because that is what most men do, it is just reversed roles and because she is the mother she is getting so much more backlash. But in an ideal situation, they both should be spending quality time with their children!

@@al2069 As I said, they both should be spending quality time with their children. But pardon me if I don't feel much sympathy for this case, when the opposite people will say "it's the way it is". I only feel truly bad about the children, because they should be wanted by both their parents and in this case, the father wanted kids when the mother obviously didn't, maybe she cave in to his wishes and that was the result, did he expected her to develop motherly feelings? That is not how it works.

@@stillfangirlingtoday1468 its partly because a kid is way closer to the mother. he has been within her for 9 months in most cases breastfed for a year. a bond between mother and child is way stronger than between father and child. in the early years that is. that's why i also believe that it is ideal for mother to stay as much with her child as possible in his first years. after he starts going to school she can work again etc. it also helps with the development of the childs mind. did you know that a baby can recognize a mother by smell? that's also why babies calm down if you put them next to the mother. that's not the case with the father. that just proves what is said in the beginning. after all the first years of your childs life are things you can only experience once. i also agree with the fact that both parents need to spend time with the child for a healthy child to grow up. but a mother is needed way more than a father.

She talks as if she can't evaluate her family's feelings alone. She seems totally disconnected from her loved ones. It is sad because she does not even understand the fact that young children constantly need their mothers. She doesn't care about her family and not even herself. I think she needs outside help afterwards. Good luck for this family. Fighting

My mother raised me on her own from the time that I was 6 years old up to the time I was 11, she had 4 jobs and I hardly saw her. I had no siblings nor a father who took care of me or showed me any genuine love, so I grew up very lonely and isolated. I had to mature and become independent at a very early age. However I understood that my mom was working hard for our well being but it left a major strain on our relationship and we’ve never been close. She spends a lot of time at home with me now but my mom still feels like a stranger to me. It’s extremely important to give children as much attention and care as you possibly can when they’re young or else they’ll either end up hating you or being very distant when they mature.

My comment is referring to 19:36 . She might not remember elementary school, but her experiences throughout elementary school helped shape her into who she is today. The same could be said for her children. They obviously won't remember their infancy. However, everything they experience during this crucial period of their lives will greatly impact their psyche. One of the negative results from growing up with an absent maternal figure is that her children will most likely become extremely insecure and attention-seeking. I know this not only from research, but also from first-hand experience. Based on what I'm seeing, this woman needs more than just advice from regular people. I hope that she gets the right help she needs and that she's able to give her family the attention they deserve.

Why did he marry her and get her pregnant after seeing how she was initially? Did he really think she was gonna switch things around and become a house wife and not stay a workaholic? The fact that after she went back to work he then got her pregnant again is so crazy. I get that he loved her and wanted to marry her and have kids but sometimes it’s better to not go down a road with someone stuck in their ways. Hopefully she changes now but ppl are often stuck in their own path and they don’t change easily. Both of them should have thought better before they had those kids and husband needs to watch it with the baby juice. Wrap it up man!

The kids should grow happily. The love from the parents will stimulate their intelligences and emotions. Maybe the kids don't remember what was happened in the past, but it will be showed up in their characters and habits. naturally. I don't know if everyone would agree with me or not, but in my opinion, a mother is the first and the main school for her kids. The existence of a mother in the family has really important role to create the characters of the kids.

You missed the whole point, he isn't complaining about taking care of the children, his problem is that he feels like the children need both of their parents. That means no working overtime everyday and actually going home to spend time with the kids as well, it means setting time aside to spend time as a family and as a couple instead of working non stop when she isn't the only one working at that company. It means actually being present when you are home and not on your phone or computer doing work. All he wants is what he should have and that is a life partner to not only work with but to also raise kids with, he didn't sign up to be a married single dad.

People are overreacting. If the roles were reversed people would praise him for working so hard and _still_ having time to spend with his kids.

@@lc4147 I might be wrong for that instance but in real life this happens all the time but people just seem shocked because the 'roles are reversed'. When a man is the breadwinner of the family and he has a stay at home wife, people keep their mouth shut. But all of the sudden when a woman is passionate about her job and the dad spends more time with the kids than the mom does then for some reason that translates to something being wrong with the mom?

@@StephJ0seph true but times have changed, as I see right now everyone is in favor of the women no matter what they do in the internet and with people that I know. For example look at any comment section of cases like this from hello counselor and you will see everyone saying that he should take care of his wife and children and not work that much etc... but in this comment section they are immediately trying to find excuses like post partum depression, or that she was not made to be a mother and that they should understand her. So why if a women does it it's right but if a men does it then it's wrong?. To me in any case that one parent or both are workaholics then they are in the wrong.

Nah. She's disguising this as being a workaholic, but what she is is extremely self-centered. Don't get married and have children if work is your only priority and you don't want to discuss family matters with the man you married.

Why if it is a woman there is always an excuse. There was a case like this before but the workaholic was the father and the entire comment section was in favor of the mother. And they all condemned the father.

She gave birth to them, though. Which she chose to do. And as a wife and a mother, she is responsible for the 2 lives that came out of her. She also has the responsibility to discuss things with him if only so they can talk about it because that's how marriage works. No one is asking her to quit her job or leave her career, the husband only wants her to spend time with her kids in their formative years

@@AG-ev3hj They fucked and they knew the 'consequences'. Should've used a condom if they weren't ready for a child. My parents didn't even try to raise me. I had a job at 14, i fed myself, i washed myself, i did everything by myself. i was only like 4 or 5. My dad's job was to point out what i'd do wrong or make a big deal out of it. My mom's job was throwing something at me so i could play with it, so she could sit on her phone. People should know that not spending time with your child affects them emotionally. I'm almost 20. People think that i forgot about my childhood. The pain isn't gone, i just learned to live with it

Both parents are problematic. The husband assumed his wife would change and act like all women after giving birth. The wife didn't change and didn't stop having sex without birthcontrol knowing that she doesn't like parenting. WTF? Both of them are wrong, period. Why would you marry and impregnant a woman who is a workaholic and then expect her to change? He knew her personality. Why didn't she discuss things with her husband and postpone parenting until they can actually plan it and do it together? She knew he wouldn't change.
