The fact that the guy recording the FedEx truck being robbed is LAUGHING should tell you a lot about the mentality and lack of values on a big part of society.

I'm a delivery driver and this worries me... i have some neighborhoods where you keep your eyes moving and your truck locked at all times...and I'm 6'3" 350lbs!! This is ridiculous man, especially with the holiday season coming and daylight savings time. God help us!!!

If you're curious why this continues to happen. Just google what the penalty is for the crimes if these people are ever caught and you'll understand the definition of incentive and de-incentive.

When I did Lyft and dropped someone off in a sketchy neighborhood in LA or San Bernardino, I would just drive out of that area before accepting new passengers. These delivery drivers have no choice where they drive.

These hard working members of society just want to help deliver our packages faster.

There are communities in Chicago that don't receive deliveries of packages, mail, food or rideshare because of the lax standards of prosecutors. No one wants to risk their lives getting robbed. Those communities where the law is still upheld still enjoy normal services. Maybe we need to keep these communities separated.

I work at a fedex warhouse and apparently one of the vans still has a sign that says anyone who steals those boxes from the truck (“fedex property”) it would be investigated by FBI

This is such a shame…these kids are out of control and why is the person recording it laughing like it’s funny. These kids know they can get away with it and will keep doing it over and over again. They have no morals, values or ethics of any kind. The future is not looking bright and these “minds” have been wasted already. The delivery drivers should be armed at this point.

In my hometown, there was a local pizza place that delivered for years upon years and then they started getting robbed. They no longer even go to that neighborhood. Don't take them beyond a certain street. If people don't know how to act, then those in the neighborhood will have to acclimate and go pick up their own packages somewhere else.

Unless the justice system to include law enforcement, the DA/ADA, the courts, probation officers and jails start stepping-up to stop these crimes, they are just going to increase to the point of complete anarchy which is when vigilante justice starts to respond to correct the problem . . . much, much better not to let it get that far.

Law enforcement and the courts decided to prosecute people who are defending themselves and their property. Lawmakers decided to pass laws requiring people to run away rather than fight back. Insurance companies decided it was cheaper to replace lost goods than to pay for the bodily damage done to a criminal who has been stopped by an employee. Corporations decided to fire employees for stopping thieves and attacker rather than support them. And now, we have more shoplifting and robberies than ever. Streets are more dangerous than they have ever been. And stores are closing. Seems like the powers at be made shortsighted decisions.

Easy solution. STOP DELIVERING AND MAKE PEOPLE COME PICK UP PACKAGES! Problems solved! And the company make more money not having delivery expenses

It's just common sense to have a clamp lock!

This is going to get worse as the economic conditions in this nation decline - There are only 3 answers for this problem: (1) armed guards that use deadly force stationed in every delivery truck (or) arm their drivers (either of which aren't viable) (2) place tracker-bait boxes set into every delivery vehicle in case they get robbed - and police can track at least a few suspects - OR (3) end deliveries in problem areas = restricted business for bad neighborhoods / lack of law enforcement. The 4th and final option will solve this issue overnight - but will never be considered: Our corrupt and broken government needs to stop spending this nation into the ground and giving away our future and tax money to other nations and wasted in needless wars. Fix AMERICA - and put our citizens first. otherwise - the conditions that caused this problem will rob the entire country, and not just delivery drivers of their future.

Im telling you these Laws aint strict enough. What good are laws of nobody is scared of them.

AMZ should have packages delivered to their lockers. They shouldn't be allowed to deliver in high crime areas. Period. This is planned. It used to be ONE person robbing, now it's a "crew". How much $$ can they make stealing these packages. Are they going to resell online? They can't because those packages are barcoded and AMZ knows what's missing.

They are a lost cause.

So is anybody guna say it?.....they've showed 3 or 4 police videos...we watched them...how many white kids did we see? How many black kids we see? How many Asian kids we see?....

What if the trucks had no identifying signage and better locks?

Do a bait delivery. Full of boxes that go bang then you have strings of 911 calls of a medical emergency then you got the suspects.

1. Lock the trucks up. No padlocks, they are too easy to open. Magnetic locks on the rear side of the door are best. 2. Stop delivering to certain neighborhoods. If it is ok for retail stores to shut down, then delivery should too.
