@RedGaming Studio what is this insitution called? So far I found only one, this video about this type of translation, it seems more interesting than interpreting in booths

I guess tha's a special working environment, different from the DGT. It´s a summit and at a Council meeting, which has to demand quick and accurate translations. That means: experience, consulting colleagues, teamwork, and total command of the 'eurojargon'. Most of all, knowing rather well what´s been dealt with by the members of that Council.

Eternal Cloud Observer .... Organizations like the EU and UN make you take competitive language translation exams. You must pass, and even then they will not allow you to translate from all those languages. Yes you might know them, but you must pass the highly competitive exams. I am not saying you can’t learn or do those languages, but you will have to prove yourself through exams and being tested. Best of luck if this is your goal.

Jean Pierre Aviles I’d say it’s close to this, but I’m just scandinavian, not Finnish, so I’m not a 100% sure: Kaja Rindaletar

You need a lot of experience, know how to work with CAT tools, adapt to new technologies, read a lot, specialize in one specific field (economics, technical, IT or whatever you feel attracts you most). Start gaining experience by translating for organisations, little stuff etc and one day you will get a good job in translation. Keep trying and one day you will thrive!!!!
