I'm having same problem! Don't know why they are picking on my porch as I live in a subdivision! Will try this. This will be the second mat I've had. Had to throw out first one cause of smell of several cats marking it. Grrrrrrrrr!

there is this one cat that pisses ON MY FRONT DOOR. then the urine gets under the door, on my living room floor etc. i have to spend a lot of time cleaning it up at night before i can go to bed. i DETEST cats. they kill the song birds and piss on my door.

I have the same problem with an outside cat spaying my front door and mat and like someone else said it gets under the front door and I can smell it in my house😑 I even have a small blanket in between the doors to stop the draft and it gets ON the blanket😑 I'm thinking it's because I have an unfixed female in the house because it didn't happen before that, as I have four other cats inside and have for years. Until I can get her fixed I'm going to try the vinegar and lemon juice or whatever it is and hopefully it stops after I get her fixed. 😑👍

I have cats coming only to my door & I hate it smh... I used different Oils, Cayenne pepper, lemon/ vinegar, even Borax powder. The cats sniffed everything & continued to come back. The mixture just dries up on the ground or mat. It doesn't work. I ended up removing my pretty & expensive mat. That just pissed them off. They started pooping in front of my door. The poop has worms in it smh. The only thing that works is tossing water. I literally just tossed water on a cat, 5 mins before writing this lol. Hence why I'm on this thread. I'm soo tied of these cat's. While reviewing my security cameras. They bypass all my neighbors doors & only come to mines. WHY! I HATE CATS 😢. I don't feed them, nor rub them, and definitely don't talk or befriend them. At the wee hours, they sit on my patio wall, like it's their's. What can I do?

Humane cat traps are legal to use on your property. You can safely relocate cats to a local shelter etc

Where do they offer free humane cat traps, also tired of these cats my neighbors have and I heard another litter born just a couple of days ago. I could bet money the cat that had them was also just born a couple of months ago I don’t understand why people don’t spay/ neuter their animals if I wanted animals I get one my self. Here to express the same and you beat me to it. One has been on my window for 2 months now. I could open the blinds at anytime during the day/ night/ or early morning and the fucker is there. This morning when I opened my blinds he had a lil friend with him too. I poured straight up vinegar all over my window and around my grass. I’m about to go to Walmart to stock up on vinegar & lemon now that I know what the trick is. Put it on the window 3x a day is going to be my go to.

I never try artificial vinegar,i use alcohol based vinegar combined with lemon juice,it works,but i need to spray more often when weather is bad,rain or something else,greeting

You need to do a good job to remove the smell. Removing poop isn’t good enough. Spray the above ingredients or a shop bought one under the bed. Do this daily. Hopefully they won’t poop there again. Secondly, if your cats don’t have access to a litter tray/it’s dirty, they’ll poo wherever they need to. Thirdly don’t free feed them. Set meal times so you can control their toilet habits. And don’t overfeed. Cats have small stomachs. Google portion sizes for your cats ages. If cats don’t eat it all, reduce portions. Sometimes they eat cuz it’s there, not because they need it. Don’t give in to their meows. They’ll soon learn they’ll only get food at set times. I also let my cats out after feeds as they poop soon after a meal. Now that it’s cold out, I have started using the litter again at nights. They don’t even use it every night as they’ve already done their business before I bring them in for the night. I never understood free feeding. Food isn’t available to cats 24/7 in the wild. So why free feed them at all? It’ll just cause excessive pooping. Lastly commercial cat food makes their poop stink. Feeding them chicken/other meats will get rid of that problem too. Since it’s pure protein they won’t need to eat a lot either. Add some greens like parsley, grated carrots and coconut oil and fish liver oil. Doesn’t have to be all in one meal. Chop and change. Your cats will be on the best diet ever.
