Good to see you figured out the transport mode on the lift cylinder since i ran one for years and never broke the safety catch and usually we just took off the drive chains for any long road trips. And as far as bean populations good luck with a drill they are never as exact as you want them to be pretty much a controlled spill . I have done many tests in 8 inch 10 inch 15 and 30 inch rows and found there to be no real change in row spaces and i also did just plain population from 60,000 to 160,000 and it seems to be that 80-100,000 was the best yield in my trials. . Best advantage to corn planter for beans is population control and in no till we could get them in the ground and beans always emerge better in row since they all can push together

I broke mine to $350 to replace in Canada so I made one out of one inch steel won’t break now!

I assume you got it going. I like the IH better than my Jd because of those gauge wheels, controls the depth of the seed better! I really would like to plant with a corn planter for better singuation and depth Control

Is the cylinder on backwards ? Or is that the way it’s designed.

That's a good question Scott!

That cylinder hook thing is the stupidest thing ever! I broke multiple of those dumb things. So I just welded it solid.
