Hey Laura. The foxglove colour is dreamy!!! I can never imagine planting elephant ears (taro) coz for us they grow everywhere, like literally! Wherever there's constant water, these would thrive. I just planted my first elephant ear this year! I love them! They took FOREVER to come up but have finally sprouted. I planted the bulb not plant form. Do they require a lot of water? Wet soil? I planted in full sun and more dry area. Thanks for any input!

@@ajgem5467 hi! Well honestly I've never planted them for they are equivalent to weeds for us.But they love water. Any place where they get a ton of water or generous soak, they will grow and thrive. I would completely give up on them (their poor leaves burn), but their blooms have such an amazing scent, I just let them do as they like. Mine are a large leaf Alocasia variety; the mother plant having been my grandmother's is nearly 30 years old.

Hi guys iam from south India as well. In my place if we keep three plants together we can see a snake 🐍 hiding in it. These days the snake population is so much reduced. Anyway good to know there are Indian followers for Lura's garden .

This is my favorite part of your garden. And this combo is awesome. The mini Vista indigo has been a favorite of mine this year. Your underestimating those elephant ears though! With heat and water they are going to be massive!! Make sure to feed them alot too cause they love every bit of it

Hi: Just a quick note...be careful with the elephant leaves in contact with your face or eyes...they contain oxalic acid and can be very irritating if the juice gets into your eyes...the Alocasia family is like that...ditto caladiums, although less so...love the new plantings...fountain is wonderful...thanks for a great video!!

Hi Laura! That garden area is so pretty! Love the pineapple fountain, too! I hope the elephant ears do well for you. They are really pretty and adds a different texture that, so far, you don't have anywhere else. I'm anxious to see their progress. As always, it was great seeing Aaron and Benjamin, too. Thank you so much for sharing!

I think you will love your elephant ears! They waggle so gently in the breeze & are very easy "children" All they want is that moisture--they won't mind the heat! Pile them with mulch & they should make it through the winter. They may look like a rotten mess in the spring, but don't dig them!! I've made that mistake so often! They sprout & feed from that. And they are BEASTS as you say of some plants. I'm sure they will richly reward you in short order being out of their cans.

I know you're "teasing" Laura. I think she doesn't need to in this case because her soil is so rich those roots will want to reach out. Plus, they're considered annuals (bulbs can be dug up in fall).

Help! I got some foxglove for the first time this year! A couple of days after planting they began to wilt horribly. We have been in the low to mid 90’s for several weeks with high humidity. I have been giving them water twice daily (and a good amount). They get morning sun until noon. The poor things are STILL wilting 2 weeks later. Is it possible that I put too much starter fertilizer in with them? Am I watering too much? Too much sun? How do I save them?

Mely Terry mealy bugs ? In case you don’t know , Mealy bugs are cottony like bugs that appear to be spots until closer inspection. They are often found in the leaf joints and undersides of leaves. Insecticidal soap, or a Dawn/water combo mixed with alcohol will usually kill them. You have to be persistent. They spread easily and may require several rounds of treatment. I had a bad case a few years back. Some of the plants were so overwhelmed I threw them away. My other guess is powdery Mildew. There are plenty of DIY treatments on KZfaq for it. Good luck 🍀.
