First we check the end result of the stump burning experiment and then we are onto some prep work. Working with the John Deere 755 compact utility tractor to get a few spots ready for base rock on the new forest road heading back to the build site. However things don't really go to plan and we have some technical difficulties in the process.

@silentepsilon888

That is a great 27-point turn around you built there. The nicest thing about it is that it is a perfect parking spot for visitors and once a car is parked there, the next guy can't turn around and will keep going down the ATV trail. So no worries, you will still get plenty of cars that need to be pulled out of the mud down the road. Yes to drone footage, No to keep losing or breaking cameras, and a Maybe to some road fabric in those wet spots of the KZfaq Yacht Alley to prevent the gravel from getting squished into the mud and disappearing on you over time. ;)

Cap’n, Cap’n, Cap’n... won’t be long ‘til you’ll have to post Speed Limit signs on the Yacht Road!!! Keep it up and Rand McNally will designate it as a National Scenic Byway. Now about those Drone shots... I, for one, enjoy them. The perspective they provide adds interest and conveys knowledge in ways that click with my addled brain. And besides... you’ve avoided loss of it (so far) which means it’s still in your production tool kit! So, keep plugging away and hopefully we’ll meet here again this weekend!

Like I commented in the previous video it would be worth it to dig out around the stump a little and then try to burn em up. When you started to use the axe I said to myself, "Just rent a stump grinder" :) It turned out great, just cover them up with some soil and grass and let the remainder of the stump just decompose in the ground. Take care, Allen

Love the time lapse at the right spots. Too bad about the GoPro but I have a suggestion: For those shots where you are putting the camera in some 'danger', out of your physical touch and sight, consider buying a used older version of the camera, a Hero 3+ or even a Hero 5. A lot less money than a 7 and easier to take when it goes south, as they can in those situations using heavier equipment (trucks, dozers, track hoes, etc.). Spend $50 to $120
@CaptainKleeman
@CaptainKleeman 4 жыл бұрын
Rick Mervine I agree with that. I’ve ordered the stuff to fix my older one, and that’s I’ll become the dedicated “danger” camera. Ordered some safety lanyards for it as well. Hopefully that helps keep track of everything!

Maybe, if you don't find the camera, you could set up a PayPal account with the above gmail account and we could possibly help you get another one. I really love your content and would be happy to help you get another one if you end up needing it. I wouldn't be able to give a lot, but if we all chip in a little you should end up with enough for a replacement. I love the time lapse footage with the drone as well. Being mounted on a tree or ladder from a distance isn't too bad either. The drone does such a fantastic job, though. Really want to thank you again for sharing your time with us. It is really appreciated and fun to watch!

The road looks good! You going to put grass on the side slope to help hold the soil together? I have a lot of work to do on my trail through the woods as well! have to cut back mother nature!

NewHampshire-Bob I’ll put grass along the edges. But I bet Mother Nature beats me to it by the time I get to that step.

Definately like all of the current footage types. It's nice to see an overall view from the drone, as well as the up-close or on equipment views. Adding in your commentary and first person view, we get all aspects of the work. One of my favorite channels even though I'm new over here, jumped over from Dirt Perfect's channel.

The way you approach your video, first you explain what you are about to do, execute. Then you start the job and if it is repetitive, back and forth, drone time lapse is a great fill in with a drone after shot. This is the way I see you do a lot of your videos, whether you mean to or not. It is informative and a learning experience, right or not so right. The camera. I like the neat shots, but hanging an expensive camera in a sketchy place to get a kewl shot isn't financially worth it. On the Mack light bar is a great forward shot and more protected. Note to self, Will this camera shot/angle make enough money for me to replace the camera in case of destruction?? Safety cable??
