For my first international trip I got to go to London! I worked the buisness class galley. Most people in our company consider this to be the most difficult position to work because of the high level of service and size of the section. I was nervous at first but I found my way pretty easily.

Nice video. I really enjoy seeing the "hands-on" videos. So many people think that the attendants live in a mystical lair in the galley with no work to be done. Oh how wrong they are. Airlines should show what goes into every step on every flight to passengers.

I flew for 17 years! Loved it! Loved working FC Galley! My favorite was on the 747-400 from JFK to HKG or NRT in First!

first class is not pre-plated typically... depends on the meal. business class is due to the amount of people we have to serve. all airlines do things a little differently.

I wasn't aware business and first class meals are all prepared on the plate ready to heat. I thought the cabin crew were responsible for arranging all the food on the plate. At first I thought this was a BA flight lol, love those 777-300's.

How often is the mid-flight snack bar replenished?? I saw petits-fours, fruit cups and ?pudding cups - are there seconds of those or do you just set up once and when they're gone they're gone?

On some airlines they serve soup in first class (sometimes even business class). Any idea how soup would be heated?

It's heated in the oven with everything else. It usually comes in an aluminum tin with a removable top. Think, those single serve ice cream cups with the lid but aluminum.

Do you guys have a dishwasher onboard? Or do you guys load all the cups and plates you'll need for the entire flight?

no dishwasher on the airplane. the catering company loads everything that we should need during the flight... key word, should. sometimes we run out of things, like wine glasses. in that case we switch to just using regular glasses. of all out of actual glass cup, then plastic it is. dishes are supplied to how many meals we have, so we don't run out of those.
