Hello everyone, I have multiple people asking where I got the statue of Selene. The truth is that this statue does not depict Selene, it is a random greek maiden that reminded me of Selene. I found it in an antique shop in Dublin City so I am unsure if there are others. If you search around for greek Maiden Statues I am sure you will find one with Selene's likeness!

I am so glad my channel helped you! There is very little about her surviving from her mythology. What I listed here is the majority of what we know. The rest is all personal gnosis. Sometimes we have to continue the journey of learning and discovery through our own experiences. When I started making these videos I had to learn all by myself as Selene was not a popular deity at the time so I had no others to bounce off of. I am glad she is getting more recognition nowadays!!

I was meditating with Kali ma (she’s been my only diety I’ve worked with) and she was the one who led me to Selene. I asked Kali about my “love life” and I heard her say ‘Selena’ or ‘Selene’ but because I have never heard of Selene goddess, I thought I she said ‘Selena’. But here I am.

I personally feel drawn to Hecate and devote myself to her, but out of all of the Goddesses she's usually conflated or syncretised with, I feel attached to Selene. Her energies kind of remind me of my youth and innocence from back in childhood. I would definitely want to work with her energies too. Out of curiosity, where did you get that cute porcelain cat statue with those clothes? I love it so much.

The cat was made by my friend, known online as Slocotion! They make fabulous dolls, this one was a prototype and you can buy them. Find them on Instagram and etsy!

It's called Khernips, a purification ritual to cleanse you of miasma (spiritual dirt). I mentioned it in my video and how to use it can be found in a link in the description, it's part of hellenic pagan practices.

Yes, you can work with any deities at the same time. I work with goddesses Selene, Brigid and the Morrigan.

Do you think that Selene was worshipped covertly as the virgin Mary in Roman times?

Definitely not in the same way. I would assume Artemis or Diana had more of a widespread following than Luna/ Selene did. Many gods were worshipped by smaller groups of local people rather than a widespread kind of worship. Though Selene merged with Artemis at some point and the influence Diana/ Artemis had was definitely significant.

I have a pendant of a goddess standing and praying on the crescent moon. I wonder if this is Selene. The moon is also associated with Hecate and other Greek goddesses. Selene seems to be gentle and calming, so wondered if she is one of the aspects of these goddesses.

You can 100% use your pendant to represent Selene and wear it to honor Her. Some goddesses are associated with the moon but Selene IS the moon :) Sometimes Selene is considered one of a triple goddess aspect with Hecate and Artemis but I only work with Selene alone as her own entity, not coupled with the others.

Hi! I picked this statue up at an antique shop in Dublin. It was the only one. The statue does not depict Selene herself, it's actually just of a greek maiden that reminded me of Selene! :) Unfortunately it's a very old statue so I don't know where you could find one just like it. If you have a look around for greek maiden statues in antique stores, you might find something like it! I was searching for a statue like this for a few years too. Good luck!

I bought it at an antique store in Dublin, it was the only one there. It's a general greek maiden statue and if you search around the internet you may find one similar. It is an old sculpt

There are no rules. Anywhere you'd like to. At her altar, outside under the moonlight, anywhere really! Just don't leave things outside permanently unless they are biodegradable and animal safe.

@@Pakshee_C It might be better to keep statues at your altar and give food/drink into nature instead. Or light some incense, something that will disappear over time. Things like statues should be kept, otherwise it would count as litter.

@@Pakshee_C It's not keeping the gift if you put in a spot directly dedicated to Selene's worship. Shrines and temples are homes of the Gods on Earth so even if a shrine is physically in your place of dwelling anything on that shrine is in the space of the God of that shrine. So keeping an image of Selene on Her shrine is not depriving Her of anything. It's just keeping it in a space belonging to Her on Earth rather than Her usual dwelling in the realm of the Gods
