Myrtle Kennedy an elderly lady from the local Nazarene church was very influential when Jim Jones was a small boy. She was a second mother to him. For many years Jones and Kennedy maintained their friendship... A mystery what happened to Mrs. Kennedy !

A few years ago a came across a string of videos of Jim Jones doing faith healings. I have been out of the health and wealth televangelist movement for probably 15 years. With that said I was shocked how similar the Jim Jones healing revivals looked to modern day. I have a friend who is still deeply influenced by today’s modern health and wealth preachers. I sent him the videos of Jim Jones and asked if his healing services looked similar to today’s. He disagreed with me and said they looked nothing like the same. I love the fact that it’s now coming to light that Jim Jones was in fact tapped into what people would consider mainstream healing revivals with the leaders modern preachers idolize.

Why am I here?? (At this channel) I went to a church under global awakening for about 8 years. The pushed Bethel teachings a books. I keep hearing these names in church, Gods generals. I knew something was off but I couldn’t put my finger on it. When I left I felt as if it was borderline cult. Now all this information just blows my mind. False miracles causes people to believe whatever comes from that person's mouth. People accept a false gospel, because of the false miracles. What people need to know is the devil watches our lives as well. Those like Branham and Jones use familiar spirit to "call people out".

My name is Lwazi ka Macingwane, known in the MESSAGE ranks as Bro Knowledge. I am from South Africa. I have been in the MESSAGE since I was 10 years old. The Lord opened my eyes from 2016. It was not easy, as you can imagine 😅 I am also a Preacher. My heart is to RESTORE God's People back to Christ. But, yhooo, people, even if they no longer go to any MESSAGE Church, cannot go to any church at all. It's so difficult for people to leave the Message.

Even if a person is all in with the The Message and have no desire to get out, those people have no right to obstruct or prevent others from leaving if they do desire. Show some kindness. Show some love. I followed The Message for decades and one thing I took away is this…..If you are Bride, no-one can change that. If you are not Bride, then no one can make you Bride!!! So, ease up on people. Another thing that chapped me about message churches is that every Memorial Day or Labor Day, or whatever, instead of message folk spending a little time with mothers and fathers and family not in the message, pastors will schedule guest speakers to come in and take up the entire holiday weekend. Control through fear is what these pastors and elders do to keep their people held down.

I think Branham and Jones were serving the same master.

Also, as stated, Branham was not Jesus. This becomes so conflated due to the “son of man” teachings. As Branham said he was a son of man revealing the Son of man. The duality of Jesus and Branham comparison 1:24:49 is also connected to Branham’s message The Indictment. He speaks of the second crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The message teaching is, as Jesus, the Son of man was betrayed, which led to his first crucifixion, Branham, a son of man was betrayed, by rejecting his message, causing the second crucifixion.

I so appreciate your work in educating me. I do have a question, why the need to even compare Judas to anyone? Judas fulfilled prophecy which was determined before the foundations of the earth. To say Jones was worse than Judas is so wrong & not true. Judas betrayed a sinless Jesus. The people who died under Jones, horrific as it was, were not sinless.

In the Jonestown movie I wonder, was Branham mentioned at all? I haven't seen that movie in years.

What's extremely sad about this whole affair is that both of you young men have made it your business to undo another man's work. Just one simple question: do you have a shelter for the 'escapees'? Or is your objective to lead them out and let them die in the wilderness? Do you even realize the magnitude of the damage you have done worldwide? Or is this your joy?
