While I don't have magical fairy dust to sprinkle on you and give you endless amounts of time, I do have 8 daily rhythms (a time block schedule, if you will) that helps me as a work at home mom balance being a mom full-time and being a business owner full-time. Being a mompreneur is not easy, but for us it is totally worth it and doable with this work at home mom schedule.

ABOUT ME:
Hi! I'm Sarah, mom of 3 daughters and wife to a busy chef! I have been a working mom from the start and have had jobs as an English teacher, nanny, daycare provider in our home, and now I focus solely on helping other busy moms create balance that sticks with my brand Work Life Glue. I am homeschooling and juggling creating a business while being a mom/wife/friend/daughter/sister/etc. It can be a lot, but I'm SO glad this is my life! I love to share how I fit everything in, how I keep our home organized and functioning well for my family, what I do to keep my girls learning and having fun, how I stay on top of all the things that come along with being a mom and homemaking, and so much more! I would love to have you as part of our Gluestick family, so please subscribe!

Immensely helpful! Question about chores and cleaning the house, when do you fit these in? I’m having a hard time balancing the cleaning on top of everything else.
@HomeschoolGlue
@HomeschoolGlue 2 жыл бұрын
I hired a cleaner who comes every other week because I just truly can’t do it all. I vacuum as needed and then I do basic cleaning of surfaces and floor after each meal (so 3 times a day). Toilets I do in between as well if they need it. And then I do deeper stuff when I can fit it in usually once a month.

Just found your channel and I love it! When do you find time to do bigger cleaning projects like bathrooms etc.? I work full time with 2 kids and I find every weeekend I have so much cleaning to do so the weekend flies by either without any fun or without getting everything done and then I feel guilty for both!
@HomeschoolGlue
@HomeschoolGlue 2 жыл бұрын
I’ll be honest, we hired a cleaner many years ago because when I was balancing full time daycare 50 hours a week and running my business on the side it just was too much. So I don’t do a lot of the big cleaning like showers, mopping most of the time, and dusting. I still clean every day like spraying off bathroom counters in the morning, cleaning toilets as needed, vacuuming, sweeping after meals, etc. I honestly hate cleaning so I don’t do some of the things like the oven or windows unless they really need it. Just keeping it real! And then I often will clean things like closets and things like that during weekend nap times or when my kids are at my parents for the day or overnight here and there. But I have low expectations for some of that because I carry enough as it is and I think that’s okay!

I love how intentional you are in making time for memories and connection with your girls. I find often that when we’re scattered and busy, those times are the first to hit the back burner. I know you are an avid reader and have read numerous books on the subject, but I was wondering if you had any specific recommendations for building routines with your children in mind. Thanks!

I feel that way at times too - this setup to our day has helped SO much! My kids do much better when we have a flow to our day. I’ve been criticized for scheduling “every second of our day” before which is SO not true. But we have a great flow and lots of flexibility within that!

I so wish my body would let me wake up before 6am. My youngest woke be up between 4-5am for 2 years and even if I went to bed at 9pm I felt awful and was constantly run down.

I may do one when I have a better after 🤣. I haven’t been working out much. The main thing I did to lose 20 pounds was to ditch: blood thinners, an IUD, and antidepressants. All 3 wreaked havoc on my body when it comes to weight.

I always start with the youngest so she is laid down for nap fight after. My 4 year old plays in her room until I’m done. And my 7 year old is really good at entertaining herself so she just does whatever.
