LIVE | Secure Ute Roller Shutter - Easy DIY install onto L200 Triton MQ MR Oz Canopies Mountain Top

In this episode we show you how to install a roller shutter onto your ute or truck. While this is an Oz Canopies 4x4 unit, most are the same including Mountain Top, Bodyline and Bossco.
Our next episode will be central locking to the tailgate to complete the installation!
Pay particular attention to drainage tubes to make sure they do not kink or are likely to block due to routing. In our case we had to remove a tonneau cover and modify the internal liner - so we provide some tips and tricks to help you out there also.

Bugger, I must say there are a few little adjustments you can make to allow these to work nice and smoothly. We had a trip just after this and noticed the cover would keep opening to the first stop due to the tray flexing and corrugations. Adjusting the sides in slightly seemed to solve.

Great Video, I have the same Tonneau cover.....Do you happen to know if T slot cargo racks can be attached using the same rails that you used for the roll bar?

Hey, just wondering how you took off the existing tonneau cover bracket below the rear window? We have drilled out the rivets but it seems to be glued down. Any ideas would be appreciated :)

Hey mate, how has the quality of the roller shutter stood up? Are you still happy with it? No paint chips or anything? Tossing up which roller shutter to get, and the ozroo combo with the rack seems pretty convenient. Just worried about the quality.

This install was actually on the brother in law's Triton. It's held up really well and he is still happy with it. I was actually quite surprised how well it worked when we fitted it up. For the money they seem quite good value. He also noted it's been quite water tight.

Great video. Just Wondering how exactly do i adjust the spring loading for the roller shutter? I have the same style of roller shutter. But the poorly translated manual did not mention anything about adjusting spring load force. After a few month of use, the spring Got Pretty loose and shutter won't retract properly. Thanks so much

Hi Tom - for me its been time and weather. Half the video has been done however the outing we had to test out the trolling motor didn't film as planned. Trying to find a nice weekend day where the tides and lack of rain wind has been challenging in between other commitments. I tried another time a few days ago and it was also a fail so hopefully will get out over the next few weeks to finish that one off, and do a review on the Kinsg SUP with kayak option I bought for the wife. In the meantime we have used a lot without cameras and I've collected a few additional things.
