Well.. This is much easier than expected. I have a tip for you on the drill bit issue for the rear. You can use a self-drilling spade bit that has a hex driver on it. Not only are they very cheap for that size, but because they have a hex driver you then use a hex driver extension and you can reach to the middle so you can drill from the sides to the middle battery box area, go to the other side and drill straight through and you'll do the whole rear in under a minute.

Nice info. I think those inside holes I'd use an awl or pick heat it up with a lighter or torch and Stab it for a pilot hole.
