Really nicely laid out and thought out space man, nothing better than having a nosey around someone else's workshop! The briquette set up is awesome 👍👍

The extraction, recycling set up is really cool man. Fire Wood bricks is a great idea to repurpose off cuts

It's a very handy set up, oak dust in particular is difficult to get rid of any other way and we had to put it all in landfill before. This is a much better way for sure!

Nice shop! Thanks for the tour. Dust collection into pellets has to be the best idea ever. Subbed.

Very interesting, and really like the offcut collection and pellet processing system. Really looking forward to the new series coming up. And Happy Easter from Texas!

Happy Easter to you too! I am spending my lock down time getting some older footage finally edited and uploaded as well so I've got a few more things in the pipeline. As soon as I can get the boat up to the workshop progress should continue!

This is an incredible worth for money [Link t.co/SGIXIPXR0z ]. I have been looking for something like this for quite a while now. I'm happy there are opportunities like this out there. This woodwork plan made a clear presentation with regards to building sheds. Much thanks to you.?

Cheers! Which saw, the Wadkin or the Festool? I'm not very knowledgeable on the Wadkin and mostly use it as a rip saw really.

Dan you are obviously a Joiner and Cabinet Maker like me as i have a lot of the gear you have . I have a spindle molder by Robland which is a handy bit of kit which i use alot on my boat building projects . I am lucky i am retired and devote most of my time in my workshop playing with boats . Like your setup but i think you need a bit more space for your boat building area. Cheers Rob.

Hi Rob I've not found a need for a spindle moulder to date but then I've never really used them so perhaps I don't know what I'm missing out on. There is never enough room for boat building but then the bigger the space you have the bigger the boats will get!

Does the MDF or particle board dust affect the quality of the briquettes? Also, if you ever get tired of the second Kapex laying around, I could always help you and take it off your hands...
@DanLeeBoatbuilding
@DanLeeBoatbuilding 3 жыл бұрын
MDF and fine sanding dust still press fine. They make a much more dense briquette but still work well. I'll let you know if a Kapex is going spare, I like them too much at the moment though 😄

Boat building shop? Do you have another shed where you keep the bandsaw and build the boats? Sorry! 1st video I watched. Looks like all your curves are done on the router. Do you do any bevels? By hand plane? All your shapes done in CAD instead of your hands and knees on the loft floor?
@DanLeeBoatbuilding
@DanLeeBoatbuilding Жыл бұрын
No, this is it for now, I do work on mostly small boats though. The layout of the workshop has changed a bit since this video. I have a bandsaw now, most bevelling is done by hand. Not much traditional lofting gets done here, I haven't started a new build yet but when I do all framing will be CNC cut.
