Another wonderful blast from the past. I know Worksop well, I was born at Kilton Hospital which disappeared long ago. Thank you for the trip 😁

Thanks Jon, one correction though the old Kilton Hospital is still there though no beds in it now, mainly used for storage and admin.

I love youre work but it can be upsetting, especially seeing how it was in comparison to yesteryear...however,keep em commin, we love them. And you're narration is very good. 👍

I worked as the van driver at Comet maybe a year after it opened until the latter part of 92 then moved to a new Sheffield branch. When at Worksop I got through to the Driver of The Finals and it was splashed all over the local papers, they all said I was a Worksop fella but I've never lived in Notts let alone Worksop.

I grew into a young man through these times, sad to see how Worksop’s has collapsed, I don’t think any amount of money will bring the town centre back to life, you can blame high rental cost introduced by the council, these days I rarely go into town for anything at all.

The Mcdonald's in town centre was not abandoned in the mid '90's it was abandoned in favour of the already existing drive through in either late 2003 or early 2004. ...drunken people were going in misbehaving and Mcdonald's would not pay to have door staff discourage it.

I remember two blokes having a drunken fire extinguisher fight in there, in front of all us kids. It was in the afternoon as well.

Yes that's correct, but Pound Stretcher has now gone.

It’s ironic remember the big terrace houses where Hillards was built, they knocked them down in the line of progress, now the old hillards building has gone and they’ve built houses on it!!! What goes around comes around as they say!!
