Are we adding Toppin or backspin with these? Or is it just a flat push?

this is sure flat push. If you see other videos of ben he explains how to add top spin on to any of your shot(dink, roll, drop), brushing the paddle upwards to ball by moving whole arm (shoulder motion) and not elbow or wrist motion. What I learned from his tutorial video is he is very patient and not rush to win the point. all his tips helps you get you to create nice set up where eventually opponent make mistakes or in imbalance position that when you go for shot to win the point. for me: it is like learn the technique, be consistent for longer rally, increased stamina to stay focused during every point, look out for opportunity at every shot/return, be patient with winning a point.
