*Fun Fact:* Did you know that in the PS2 version of SMBDx, a few of the extra stages have a pure galaxy background that omits the grand white fog, as well as the entire colony itself? No kidding! (I honestly never experienced it because those stages were too hard for me to unlock, but I did see it in another video, so... yeah!)

I did! I managed to reach Expert Extras and saw that in Construction. Looked really awesome! Still trying to unlock Master :P EDIT: I reached the Master levels today with 72 lifes! Had barely any left when I made it 😅

Supposedly they did this due to the ps2 version running half the speed of the Xbox version of deluxe and the GameCube smb2

The PS2 was a weaker system than the GCN and Xbox, so no surprise there, but interesting fact nonetheless!

@@windowsxpnt2347 Not technically running half speed, the game still runs as fast as Xbox Deluxe and the original GameCube versions, but the framerate is halved from 60 FPS to 30 FPS (Which is a big deal if you want more responsive controls)

Getting to Beginner Extra for the first time was so surreal, I had no idea the extra stages existed, especially considering the fact that I hadn't gotten to world 9 in story mode yet.

After reaching Expert Extra for the first time and hearing this music, I was exhilarated after just how fun the levels were. Then after clearing them all without using a continue 2 months later and unlocking Master, I was actually scared from seeing Centrifugal. And when I saw Cylinders for the first time, I thought it looked easy... I ended up using 2 whole continues on that level alone. Same story for Notch, minus me thinking it looked easy. Point being, this game just had many surprises, some more unpleasant than others, and I loved this game so much as a kid and was so happy after beating Nintendo.

Expert Extras were so freaking fun. Personally disliked Masters a lot (Long Torus is just awful, Cylinders seems unbeatable without stunting or at least really freaking hard and of course Notch omg) but Master Extras were really enjoyable! I loved Dizzy System, Synchronized, Planets, Ooparts and even Striker!

@@gamersdecision8687 Expert Extra is most likely my favorite Challenge Mode exclusive set of levels. Free Throw was fun, Pendulums was fun to get the timing right, Conical Slider is the only one I don't like and Construction was scary at first, but I memorized the layout. Long Torus kinda sucked, not as bad as Cylinders and Notch in my experience as I only lost about 20 lives in Long Torus compared to losing nearly 200 in Cylinders and about 100 in Notch. Clock Face is likely the easiest for me because you can simply ride the red circle (the one of the two without the bumpers at the edge) to the outer blue circle. Master Extra isn't too bad. Striker was fun, don't get me wrong, but it was FAR too easy to be Master Extra. Sliced Cheese is annoying to get the timing right, 8 Seesaws was also too easy for Master Extra. Helix fucking sucked (took me 300 lives my first time reaching it), Dizzy System was fun to get that 999 MPH glitch and Nintendo is the perfect final level for the game (too bad Deluxe ruined it by replacing it with a die that was 100 times easier). Edit: The losing 200 lives in Cylinders was because I did it legitimately and without that jump across the level.

E91 - Cross Floors: A simple yet tough level to start this bunch. E92 - Spinning Saw: Just wait until it lowers to safely get on it! E93 - Chipped Pipes: Even the green goal really isn't too bad with enough practice. E94 - Flat Maze: Easily the hardest of this bunch. At least shortcuts exist! E95 - Guillotine: It's kinda funny if it hits you after you clear this level. E96 - Cork Screw: If you stick to the right; you're less likely to fall through those gaps. E97 - Orbiters: Like Guillotine, you can still get hit by them even after you clear it! E98 - Twin Basin: Honestly kinda mundane this late in... E99 - Air Hockey: Position yourself right & you'll clear this level very quickly! E100 - Asterisk: *** A far more fitting final stage than Air Hockey... *** BX6 - Conveyors: With enough speed, you can straight up ignore this gimmick... BX7 - Bumpy Check: Bumpy but now with holes! But still not too much to worry about. BX8 - Alternative: With the right timing, this one goes by pretty quickly. BX9 - Junction: Either go for the easy blue goal, or the slightly trickier green goal... BX10 - Bead Screen: Quite the riot of a stage at max speed... AX6 - Auto Doors: I'm not even sure it's possible to pass this one when on fast-forward... AX7 - Heavy Sphere: Try to avoid falling foul of the giant bouncy ball... AX8 - Stagger: Avoid doing it yourself & this one's pretty easy. AX9 - U.F.O.: The aliens are coming! Hide your bananas little monkey! AX10 - Ring Bridges: I am aware of that weird visual quirk in the PS2 version, but I had the Xbox version. EX1 - Charge: As its name suggests, get a good charge going to clear the gap! EX2 - Strata: This one's kinda tight on the drop points... EX3 - Square Dance: Get a good path going & this one's really easy! EX4 - Giant Swing: Swing? Behaves more like a catapult if you ask me. EX5 - 5 Drums: Another fairly easy level... not much else to say... EX6 - Free Throw: AKA Space Jam Monkey Ball Edition! EX7 - Pendulums: Well it's either that or the pits... EX8 - Conical Slider: Basically the combination of Spiral & Charge, but still a fun one. EX9 - Construction: Probably one of the more imposing maze levels, but certainly not the worst... EX10 - Train Worm: This one's just painful... ugh...

Charge Strata Square Dance Giant Swing 5 Drums Free Throw Pendulums Conical Slider Construction Train Worm The only one I really disliked was Train Worm. Feels like dumb luck to me. All the other ones are definite high lights to me 😀

They changed av logo, arthropod and there is debate whether we will get the dice stage from deluxe or the GameCube stage from 2, in my opinion due to the changes made, get the pc version, there are bound to be mods made that allow you to play the stages in their original form
