Awesome vid! In my opinion, I feel like we are more able to narrow down and select something closer to an "optimal 60" with the growth of the scene, online events, and general playerbase knowledge increase. I would expect the game turns more to player skill rather than wildly diferent/unique lists

Agreed 100%, plus I think channels like this one are big contributors to that tendency

No doubt, I think especially post covid there are so many ways to access info instantly that we generally get to near optimal before even playing an event

I think the formats from Pokémon Online Global 2020 and 2021 could've been fun to look back on as well. Even though they weren't TPCI tournaments, they were still our worlds for those years.

I did the prep for those years too but I didn’t want the vid to get too long and I think with many ppl taking those events/formats off they’d require way more explanation!

Cool watch! Great idea for a video. First thing I have to say: bring 👏 back 👏 Fairies 👏 ... secondly, I remember the rainbow energy variant of Mew3. I think it was the common consensus that the rainbow energy build was the way to go pre-Worlds.

Oh awesome. I remember Alex Dao and Luke Burke playing that zoro garb balloon deck in a Bournemouth league cup way back when. Seemed pretty interesting in all it could do, and agree, the balloons were super clever. Great video.

Great video thank you for the awesome content yall put out! Love looking back on things like this and hearing some nostalgia inducing deck names! It’s been forever since I’ve heard the deck “green’s zard”, but I had such a great time playing it before we found out how to optimize tag teams.

If I remember correctly, 2019 had some DPL shenanigans involved, so it very well may have come down to Catchers had the game been played to completion.

This was such a sick video! You could also do a series where you show what won the world championships, and then what you played to see how far off of a meta call you were? I know you've made some.. interesting choices in some years😂😂

Hello! I have a question. So I have the Pokémon card wich is in your thumbnail. The Mewtwo&Mew GX Tag Team. But on the middle right, there is a silver handsignature. Do you have any idea what wich card this could be?

That means it’s a world championships version (you should also have a different card back!)
