I think that took a lot of pressure off of Kiwior and helped our midfield dominance. I thought he did that really well. His on-the-ball capability is sooo underrated. Fabulous footballer. I can understand West Ham fans laughing when Rice thumped in the sixth. That was exactly my reaction when he gave away the penalty at the end of the Emirates game. There comes a time when so much is going wrong and in such a "you can't make it up" way, that it does become comic. Yesterday though will linger long in the memory after the Emirates match has been forgotten.

Odegaard had a great game. I just wish he would shoot more, he can be a constant 15 goal a season midfielder. I liked having Havertz, Trossard interchanging their positions it gave the team another dimension.

So pleased you've mentioned Martin Odegaard, because this is the contradictory nature of football. He has less goals and assists, more poor performances in fact, but when he's been at his best he's been sensational. He's gone to a new level in terms of his pressing, pass output, control, combinations around the box and leadership. His awareness to pick up the right pockets in the defensive and offensive phase is incredible. Only weakness I see now is his finishing. You can see the team respect and trust him, reminds of me when we had Fabregas as captain.

'I could have kept a clean sheet in that match' is a bit harsh. Bowen is one of those players like Jota or Vardey who work so hard they can cause problems for any defender...Except Gabriel who dominated him. West Ham's only real outlet was nullified through out. For me it wasn't that the defence had an easy game, Gabriel just made it look easy because he was so good.

To be fair I think you said something similar about Forest, that they looked like a lower league side, maybe it's because Arsenal are putting the fear of god into the opposition.

I agree with you. Odegaard is still criminally underrated. He s the creator and Rice is the engine for Arsenal. f Odegaard is back to his best the rest of the season Arsenal might win the Prem. You can easily see how smooth the play is when those two dictate the play for arsenal. And Saka as well of course. He s hitting incredible numbers. I actually believe Arsenal at it's very best is better than City. Beating them twice already this season. Liverpool I feel is slightly below those two even though they are also very strong. I m a Barca fan. But, Arsenal has always played similar to Barca. So i do have a bit of a soft spot for Arsenal as well 😊

Hi Charles. I just wanted to add. It could be interesting to rate the parts of the team as well as individuals. I mean defence, midfield, attack etc. in yesterdays game the defence must be at least a 9/10. 2 goals and a clean sheet. Very impressive and that must be quite rare where both central defenders have scored goals.

Some may criticise Arteta about giving young players a chance but, as Nwaneiri is only 16 years old, you don't want to drop a young teenager into a tough and tight game. If you do, it can seriously set back his progress and confidence so giving him 15 minutes in a game like yesterday is the right one to give him some game time. That's good management.

Re player ratings, West Ham were only bad because we were amazing. Last week they had an end to end game with Man United, but against us they had nothing. Not because they were bad, but because we made them look bad. Just like we made Liverpool look bad against us the week before. Most the team deserved 10/10 ratings

Hey charles. The narrative about set pieces needs to change. Back in the stoke/tony pulis days, set pieces were a way tor a bad footballing team to nick a winner or an equaliser. They were frowned upon. But we're utilising them totally differently. By controlling the ball in the opposition half, its hard to break teams down and we get loads of corners and free kicks. By doing this, we prevent the other team from threatening us. And set pieces are an extra tool to make a break through. I think we are witnessing the evolution of football.

If you want to see how Arsenal have really changed go back to the draw 1-1 at Anfield. We played well but then they started completely dominating and penetrating the defense with every attack. And of course every Arsenal fan went, oh here we go again... but not only we didn't fall apart or concede, but we soaked the pressure and completely flipped it to dominate again. That was absolutely amazing and so different to what we have seen in the decades before. It's amazing and very disrespectful to the hardwork Arsenal have put in to be able to finally know how to play against ultra low blocks. West Ham didn't play differently like they did against Arsenal in December when they won two nil. The only difference between the two games is that Arsenal converted their chances this time around and had more ball management. Had they converted half of the chances created in December, it could have been worse than this. The pundits praised West Ham for their display in December, overlooking Arsenal's failure to convert their chances. But, now it's not the brilliance of Arsenal, rather it's about the poor display from West Ham. Anyway, one day you all will start respecting Arteta's tactical brilliance which he really deserves. If you look at the first 20 minutes then it looked like it would be a close game with Arsenal dominating possession but unable to break the West Ham defence. Then we scored and IMHO West Ham did appear to lose all defensive discipline and control. So, I'd say this was a 0-2 Arsenal performance if West Ham had been playing well. We played well but we have to be honest that the high score was mainly down to West Ham losing it for whatever reason.

Hi sir! I am really happy with the win because that team was on us this season and i wanted 8 but unfortunately it did not happen we move on. Additionally Charles do you really think we are going to win something this season? Me I don't because our squad is full of injuried pron players like Partey, Jesus, Zinny, Smith Row, and Tomiyasu for me, all this gentlemen are good players but they are not giving enough in terms of availability, I do really think we need to sell 3 out of them because these players are always out, am sorry I motioned Emile I know you like him but he is the one I would sell in the summer. So I do not see much difference between us and city in terms of playing nice football but the only difference and very important one is that City has big squad and they do not have injuried pron players like ours and that is one of the main reason City always terrifying teams and win the league back to back, their players are always fit when they absolutely need them. For me we have to be ruthless in the summer and bring some fresh leg players, I don't see us win big things with such kind of players.

Zinni, Jesus, Partey, ESR, Fabio? It all feels a bit too mysterious. We will need a far stronger bench if we’re really going to challenge down the stretch.

Nobody was looking down on set pieces, the worry was lack of goals from open play. Charles we had issue breaking down teams from open play, so where would odegaard get these magical 14/15 assist u claim. We are so eager to push agendas for the popular guys like odegaard and Kai, yet the not so fancied players like big gabby doesn't get talked about. His heading ability, his balls over the top have created opportunities, but u highlight odegaard passing the ball to our players with a wall of defenders around them as "creating" a chance. I'm happy for the win but the agenda pushing is unbelievable.
