The second I saw Kyle at 8:40 I was blown away. I remember watching you guys working on the hatch in your garage on jackstands, showing us how to swap every 3rd gear you'd chewed up. Serious props man, all of you are legends. Driving full-fuckin-send race cars. Good to see everyone happy and hanging together.

You guys threw this together with literal hours to spare, I know the issues have to suck man but there's always next race and next year even. You guys put out awesome videos, with unique cars, and fun builds taken as far as you can - we are here for it regardless! Good luck with the next run, I'm sure it'll just get better! Worlds fastest maybe, but definitely already worlds coolest K-MR2

I've been into imports since the late 90s had a poor mans type r Integra swap b18 block with a b16a2 head n/a it was a blast. After adulting for a while and ls swapping my s10 watching all these imports running these crazy numbers is super impressive! These guys are pushing the absolute limits! An oil down or 2 is not only worth it but inevitable, brush yalls shoulders off and keep it pushing!

@@54racemanyea I agree but the fact that they are making 1500hp plus at 9500 rpm on stock blocks ( all be it for not very long ) out of a 2.0l or less 4 cylinder is truly amazing and they do go rounds ( sometimes) ! I mean I get you can make 1000-1200hp on a junkyard fresh LS but it’s going to come apart fairly soon as well and it’s 3 times the displacement … I’m not really and definitely never have been a tuner guy but damn you have to give them credit…

Would it not make sense to just go dry sump with an engine like this? I mean if crankcase pressures are an issue, a dry sump will take care of that fairly well.

They should plan better for the oil downs. Everyone their has traveled across the country to compete in an event that requires you to push these the machines to their braking point. It almost as if they want people to have a pro-mod or run at 75%. Kinda a joke if you ask me. You don’t see victor kicking people out for trying to go fast.

Test before you go, this is not the race to figure out whether your combo will be competitive without blowing itself to pieces. Oil downs need to be through for safety and consistency.

They actually have the best in the business with the Miller Brother's, or else you wouldn't have so many world records set/broken at MIR. They cut out plenty of classes and the car show completely... and still have sold out events showcasing the best of the best... and you still have breakage! Hell... you have breakage in Top Fuel... so I think they are doing the best that they can and why you should appreciate the winners even more for enduring what adversities just to make it to the winners circle!

Trying to keep things running fast by punishing people, I understand the reasoning but hate it at the same time. Everyone not leaking fluids will defend the rule and the unfortunate “offenders” will hate it. Instead of rules maybe they could add more days to the event(a qualifying week and a comp week?), invest in the best and fastest clean up equipment.

I have to say I don't blame the track for implementing the two strikes rule for leaking on the track because it is a major hazard that could cost someone their life if it isn't caught and cleaned up not to mention from a spectator point of view watching the track be cleaned for hours a day isn't what the fans are paying to see so I would honestly like to see that rule get implemented across the entire industry to make the whole experience better for everyone. Glad to see they didn't kick the MR2 out though because the boyz worked so hard to get there.

Don't think he was arguing. Also, if you don't want wrecks and people hurting their stuff, don't advertise it as THE event to come turn your crap up as high as you can and swing for the fences. This is billed as an event primarily for running your absolute best ET due to the DA/conditions. Parts are going to fail

Officials aren't stupid, they don't need you to explain that you didn't intentionally blow your engine up. Just say alright understand, we'll do what we can, and move on. He came off as confrontational. All I'm saying. Nothing against anyone in here, I want to see Kyle succeed and he's a young kid in an event where a lot of people probably don't think he has much of a reputation yet. He's got a chance to make a really good first impression here

Congrats boiz for getting through qualifications!! That is indeed a big one. Many people prep and are on top of everything, show up and 1 and done, swap out with backup trans or engine and another 1 and done and go home. With how much these platforms are pushed, its absolute racecar status, and everyone knows thats the racecar life. Anything can break at anytime when trying to bully physics, with those levels of power and taking material and components to their limits of stress. So definitely congrats for the qualification survival! Good luck on the eliminations!! Lets see the world record for fastest mr2 get set deeeeeep, and a steady cllimb up the ladder with the elimination passes. Woot woot!!
