Anyone who thinks wot had a golden age is blinded by nostalgia. Unless you literally mean golden age as in the age when you could only get premium rounds for gold, and it was even more p2w than currently, as EVERY tank a p2w player had was better than a regular player.

@@NGabunchanumbers I think the golden age and the peak of WoT was around 2016. The premium tanks were still mostly balanced around being worse than their tech tree counterparts, WG wasn't releasing a new autoreloader premium every patch and the tier 8 battles weren't filled to the brim with premium tanks. Then they introduced the Skorpion, Liberte, Defender etc. and it all went downhill from there. Also gold premium rounds were removed in like 2013 or something, in 2016 you could buy them for gold and credits IIRC. WG also had their own eSports league instead of tournaments sponsored by some weird ass millionpugs or whatever.

yep now its nothing but overpowered pay to win premiums. every tier has a pay to win tank pz38h, pz b2 pay to win tank after pay to win tank. matches rigged so that those who pay more win more.

Personally I think this was the golden age of world of tanks. I never worried about my crew or what equipment I had. The game was fun and that is all I cared about. Wish I could talk to all the people ive met during those times and see how theyre doing now. Good memories.

9:37 Idk if it was solved already, but it might have been cause the RHM damaged the track. And since the tank drowned shortly after the game concluded it was caused by the track damage from the RHM.

Even though the maps do look better now (as in more high resolution textures and better lighting) I do feel like it's missing some character compared to the old ones. I feel like ever since the graphics got revamped everything looks a lot more plastic-y and less like you're in an actual war zone.

0:56 I will never understand why they removed that hill where the player is. It was so fun, from both sides. Now it's just a big flat area with 0 purpose. WG makes weird changes for no reason. Overall many maps are so flat now.
