G Nerd is so swagged out not even with his tricks.Even his steps are hard on the beat. Retro is already a legend in my book not just cause of the guys he murked in the street but for his character on AGT. He looks like he's dancing for a greater cause

Agreed that G nerd was actually dancing the entire time but the type of battling that jookers and tufers do basically involves tons of tricks so can't hate on Retro for doing lots of them.

All retro had was Throw Down( Tricks) while GNerd had A balance of get down(Groove) and throw down(tricks). And thats what the judges mainly look for. Crowd control is also a plus. Since it was in cali, Retro had the crowd. GNerd took this battle. Hands down.

G Nerd footwork is a force plus his musicality was on point. But Retro had flashier moves. This was honestly a hard one to choose but Im going to go with Retro... because G Nerd stuff started to get a little repetitive after 2nd round. You already knew what he was finna do in third round but I give him props for having clean tuts.

@bodegaboys agreed. The only dancer willing to come to Memphis were the cat that do "Beat ya Feet" from D.C. I have never seen Turfers come to the M. I wonder how this battle would turn out in Memphis...

Judges score by who is on beat. when you Turf its hard to be on par with the music but with jooking, anyone who is good can hit the beats

first time seeing GNerd and i think his style is dope but Retro always throws in a move or two that makes you stop and pause and ask "WTF" . he makes things look way to easy that i think some overlook the difficulty.

Just surprised at ppl saying Turf didn't win this coz he was bone crushing, sometimes it's funny,I started hating dance coz it looked one way,Turf is a great dancer with deadly moves that brings the wow moments,while Nerd was just repeating moves,and I think Turf is creative and innovative,Turf u won yourself a fan from Ghana,I love you.

got damn good ass battle.. 3rd was beast.... hard to judge gnerd was so smooth the crowd was feeling him.. he glides were nasty walkin on ice.. retro put the crowd in his favor but to me it dont go by the crowd.. it goes by who i think went in.. retro frm cali so people is familiar to what he was bringing some people aint just used to glides.. i kno both of they styles to me gnerd won

...some popping) yea, G Nerds footwork was on point, but he never incorporated his tutting enough, he got repetitive. He showed he could do it, but never substantiated it long enough, RETRO JUST DID THE OBVIOUS AND TOOK ALL THE 'WOW' MOMENTS HE COULD. Winning the crowd. That's what battles are all about. Who had the most 'WOW' moments, when things are equal.. He put thought into his moves(Gnerd didn't). That's why he lost!! Don't get mad and be a homer! Retro won quiet easily.

I get people adore musicality alot, I do too as a Bboy, but you really need to keep in mind that Turfing and Flexing are new and they focus more on story telling some musicality is involved, like punch lines. Also turfing does not have a type of music to really dance to. Popping has Dubstep and Funk, Bboying has Breakbeats. What does turfing have? Let us just give Turfing time and see how turfing will progress. We all need love between street dances
